Post Malone has played many roles in his career, including singer, songwriter, rapper, beer lover, and now he’s adding Underwear model on the list. The chart topping artist made his modeling debut with Kim Kardashian’s latest skim menswear campaign, bringing a mix of humor, vulnerability and fried chicken to the experience with true postie fashion.

The 30-year-old Grammy-nominated artist is a limited edition release featuring Skim’s new Real Tree Camouflage capsule, a relaxed fit top, bottom and yes, camouflage leaf. Filmed in Utah by acclaimed photographer Theo Wenner, the campaign marked Malone’s first modeling in underwear, and according to the singer, it wasn’t comfortable at first.

“That’s scary to me.” He said GQ In an interview after filming. “I’ve never done anything like that. It’s basically like a Sasquatch sighting. Everyone calls it to the cops and says, ‘We saw Bigfoot here.’ Or average foot. ”

Despite his self-deprecating humor, Malone clearly leaned against the atmosphere. The visual features the singer confidently relaxing in a shirtless camouflage. This is an unexpected move from someone known for tattoos and trucker hats than fashion campaigns. However, he says that the camouflage helped.

“It made me feel like a handsome son of a bitch,” he said. “Hopefully I’ll receive texts from a bunch of women.”

“I tried to bulge a little,” he said. GQ“But when it didn’t work, I just had a lot of fried chicken.”

It’s friendly.

Still, the singer said that filming turned out to be “a lot of fun” and praised the team and the Skims’ gear itself for helping him feel more confident.

The aesthetics of camouflage were not a random choice either. Post Malone is a fan of famous patterns and is often incorporated into his streetwear looks and stage outfits.

“I love Real Tree Camouflage. I generally love camouflage,” he said. “Some people are passionate about a lot of things, like building spacecrafts, and I love camouflage.”

Brands based on celebrities and confusion

Malone is on a list of celebrities tapped by Skim, including Blackpink Rose, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Abby Champion and even Kris Jenner. Founded by Kim Kardashian, the brand has made waves not only for comfortable, minimalist shapewear and loungewear, but also for social media-savvy rollouts and viral campaign visuals.

Earlier this year, Skim challenged the territory adjacent to Beauty with a seamless sculpted face wrap, a facial compression garment designed to provide jaw support. The product became a virus almost instantly. Partly thanks to unexpected Instagram support from Anthony Hopkins, who referenced him in a joke The Lamb’s Silence A character in rap modeling.

“Thank you, Kim. Don’t be afraid to come over for dinner,” Hopkins joked in the caption, tagging both Kardashian and Skim.

And while filming may have been “terrifying” to him, the images reveal themselves, Post Malone with confidence. Whether he is joking about Sasquatch’s sightings or fantasizing about texts from worshippers, his presence in such a campaign adds another layer to the evolving conversations about masculinity, self-expression, and body image.
