French pole vaulter Anthony Ammirati appears to have a penis that’s a little too big when it comes to his attempt to jump over the bar in the men’s pole vault at the Paris Summer Olympics on Saturday. The attempt caused quite a stir.
On his third and final attempt in the qualifying round, at 5.70 metres (18 feet 7 inches), Ammirati appeared to clear the bar but his penis got in the way, causing him to knock it over. Frame-by-frame video In the interest of journalistic accuracy, it appears that his left knee dislodged the bar first and then his bulge finished the job.

As you can imagine, the internet was abuzz with every anatomical pun imaginable, but not making it to the finals was no laughing matter for Ammirati.
This is reminiscent of a similar vault at the 2016 Olympics, where the same allegations were made against a Japanese pole vaulter and later disproved.
