Maggie Lindemann, the artist who swept the world with her viral hit “Pretty Girl,” spins the page. With her new album I feel everything It is scheduled to be released on October 17th, and she embraces emotional integrity, creative control and new relationships with her past works. In a recent interview with Gaty, Lindemann revealed her legacy of her breakout singles and how she shaped the artist she is today.
From “cute girls” to personal strength
Released in 2016, “Pretty Girl” was Lindeman’s breakout moment. The catchy pop anthem gathered over a billion streams in every version and landed her on the global stage. But the success put pressure on it.
“I did that song a long time ago, I was very young,” she said. “For a while, I was really bothered by it. I always felt known for it,” Lindeman admitted that the truck once felt like a weight she never grew up in.
Now, almost ten years later, she has come to see it from a different perspective. “I respect that and am very grateful for it now,” she explained. “It opened the door for me for so many other things. I don’t need to put it on top anymore.”
New chapter of I feel everything
Upcoming albums I feel everything This is Lindemann’s most personal and dynamic work to date. She began writing it in March 2024, driven by a desire to create something vibrant and emotionally rich. “I started to think I just wanted to create something fun,” she said. “I was tired of feeling sad and depressed. I wanted to do something that made me feel alive again.”
That energy is featured in songs such as “Spine,” “One One,” and “Let Me Burn.” But as the process continued, other emotions creeped up. Sadness, anger, longing, and reflexes now exist on tracklists. “There’s a good mixture,” she said. “Some people are fun, some people are sad, some people are angry. I really felt it all.”
That emotional roller coaster influenced the album’s title. I feel everything I’m not aiming for perfection. Instead, it gives space for contradiction, chaos and complexity. Lindemann accepts it all – and wants her listeners to do the same.
Complete creative control and clear vision
This new era is not just about songwriting. For the first time, Lindemann is working with Virgin Music Group to release an album through her own label, Swixxzaudio. With full creative control, she had the freedom to shape the album from top to bottom – from visuals to sound.
Fans have already got a glimpse into the album’s aesthetics with the “one in one” music video. Featuring electric blue hair and a creepy liminal set design, the video matches Lindemann’s dreamy blend of separation and emotional strength. “I’m obsessed with the limits of space right now,” she said. “I wanted to show a contrast between my clothes and this strange backroom vibe. It’s like I’m in my world and wherever I am.”
Connect with your fans through reliability
Lindemann has always resonated with people who feel like outsiders. Whether it’s her show’s Alt Kids or LGBTQ+ fans who find the truth in her lyrics, her community is deeply personal.
“I grew up with that child,” she said. “Alt Sheen is a very close group. The outcasts, those who didn’t feel they belong to, see themselves in them.”
She added that her fans are not only supportive but also honest. “They give me real feedback,” she said. “It’s very helpful. You can learn from each project and grow it into the next one.”
Let go of pressure to prove yourself
For a long time, Lindemann felt trapped in the legacy of early fame. Now she feels free. “I’m not going to stop being anything more than a ‘cute girl’ anymore,” she said. “It was an incredible opportunity. I’m grateful for it now.”
That feeling of gratitude continues throughout I feel everything. Music bounces into broken heart, confusion, and frustration, but it celebrates the strength needed to feel it all and keep on going anyway.
The album was released on October 17th, and pre-orders for vinyl and CD editions are already live. Lindemann is set to announce support tours in the coming weeks, and is expected to provide fans with the opportunity to experience new material live.
As she moves forward, Lindemann is now grounded more than ever. She has created a record of her growth, her fans and her full sentiment. and I feel everythingshe’s not chasing for another moment. She lives in one.
