If you’re a long-time reader of Equally Wed, you know that we love partnering with our inclusive colleagues in the wedding industry, sharing LGBTQ+ wedding information and inspiration with wedding professionals, and attending brilliant events to nurture and create relationships and receive inspiration of our own. One of our favorite industry events that we regularly host is Engage! luxury wedding summita luxury wedding conference founded by renowned industry titans Rebecca Grinalls and Kathryn Arce. (For background, Grinnalls and Arce were part of the launch team) Disney fairytale wedding and honeymoon.) Engage!25 Santa Barbara in early December was no different as a place of creative and innovative wedding and party inspiration for all weddings, couples, and wedding planners.

Each Summit is run by a different creative director, usually a local wedding and event professional. Tyler Speer, Owner and Creative Director tyler speyer eventsserved as the visionary planner and designer for Engage!25 Santa Barbara. Speyer’s background in floral design, combined with our extensive selection of fresh California flowers, plants, and produce, has created a wonderful treasure trove of unique wedding and event ideas for design enthusiasts, event producers, and celebration planners.

In fact, the wedding inspiration from the three-day event is so incredible and diverse that we’ve broken it down into separate posts so that each creative theme can shine through and inspire your own party. Once it’s published, I’ll link it here.

Let’s start with a lemon party. This is perfect for a fun wedding weekend welcome party or gathering celebration. On Engage’s first day, after nearly 500 gorgeous wedding professional attendees from around the world checked in and loaded up with welcome gifts highlighting both Santa Barbara artisans and local global brands, Engage invited everyone to enjoy a lemon-themed, citrusy afternoon of brightly colored appetizers, snacks, sweet treats, and plenty of yellow decorative accents.
