Entertainer Lance Bass revealed this week that he had been misdiagnosed with diabetes, a common issue among those with the condition.

“I developed diabetes during the COVID pandemic and I’m really thinking about how to control it,” Bass said. people “I’m just learning what I can eat, when I can eat, when to take my insulin, and it’s all really hard these days.”

“I’m healthy, I exercise, I eat right. There’s no way I could have diabetes,” Bass thought. But after doctors tested positive and diagnosed her with “full-blown diabetes,” her treatment plan seemed ineffective.

“I was so frustrated. I felt really sick and really distressed because I didn’t know why. … I just felt like something was wrong with me. I only found out recently that it was a misdiagnosis.”
