“Chicago Pause”
Fans linked the lyrics to “Chicago pose” to a 2022 moments Del Rey burned dating rumors when he posed with Salem musician Jack Donogue outside Chicago’s Cook County Jail. Around the same time, Cain reportedly posted a photo with Donohue, who appears to have reflected Del Rey, and later reportedly deleted it.
Deletion comments for Del Rey
The plot deepened when Del Rey left a now-deleted comment under a pop-based post discussing the snippet.
“I didn’t know who Ethel was until a few years ago. When someone caught my attention with a row of graphics in a disturbing manner, she placed me next to creatures and cartoon characters who often made constant comments about my weight. “Then I was definitely interrupted when I heard what she was saying from a mutual friend behind my back and started inserting myself into my personal life.”
The Waffle House mention was also not lost to fans. Cain’s Times profile became famous for being called “the most famous girl in Waffle House,” but Del Rey herself was found working shifts in a location in Alabama in 2023.
Cain’s simple response
Cain appeared to acknowledge the situation in his Instagram story on the same day.
“Update: Lana Del Rey blocked Ethel Cain on Instagram.”
Her account has since been disabled.
If this is a real feud or simply a clever songwriting, Del Rey’s “Track 13” certainly gave the internet a puzzle.
