Kim Petras is heading into 2026 with a new role that combines pop stardom, queer culture and sexual health advocacy. The Grammy Award-winning artist has been named a 2026 ambassador for MISTR, a national telehealth platform that provides free access to PrEP, DoxyPEP, and STI testing, the company announced.
The partnership kicks off on New Year’s Eve, when Petras will headline the MISTR-sponsored celebration at the Abbey in West Hollywood with Grammy-nominated producer Margo XS. The event marks the beginning of a year-long collaboration spanning music, live events and a major brand campaign related to Petras’ upcoming album.
For MISTR, this collaboration represents a natural fit with an artist known for his unabashed sex positivity and deep connection with LGBTQ+ audiences. Founder and CEO Tristan Shucraft said Petrus embodies the confidence and openness the platform aims to foster in conversations about sexual health.
“Kim is fearless and unapologetically sexually active,” Shucraft said in a statement. “Her confidence, playfulness, and open-minded approach to life align perfectly with MISTR’s mission to make sexual health care accessible and free. With her new album, Kim is entering a freer and more powerful chapter, and we are excited to celebrate this new era together.”
As part of the partnership, Petras will appear in major MISTR brand campaigns starting in early 2026 and will make select appearances with the organization at key markets and cultural moments throughout the year. MISTR also plans to support the development of her next album through fan events and music video integration, positioning the company as a visible partner in the next phase of her career.
Petras said the collaboration is rooted in shared values of openness and accessibility.
“MISTR is changing the way we talk about sexual health by making it open, accessible and real,” Petras said. “Sexual health should be normalized, not whispered about, and MISTR is leading that change.”
MISTR and its associated platform, SISTR, are currently the only nationwide telehealth service offering completely free PrEP to patients regardless of insurance status, covering lab work, doctor visits, medications, and delivery. Patients can also bundle for free with DoxyPEP, an evidence-based option shown to significantly reduce the risk of certain sexually transmitted infections.
According to a recent study from Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health, American Medical Association Journalnearly 1 in 5 people currently receiving PrEP receive care through MISTR’s telehealth model, a data point the company points to as evidence of its growing impact on HIV prevention nationwide.
The partnership comes as Petras prepares to enter what she describes as her boldest era yet. Since first appearing on the scene in 2017, the German-born pop star has built a global following with projects such as; clarity, turn off the lights and feed the beast. She reached new heights with her chart-topping collaboration with Sam Smith, “Unholy,” which won her a Grammy and cemented her place in pop culture history.
