JoJo Siwa just shared a serious health update with her fans, and it’s very worrying. On November 28, just an hour before her Black Friday performance at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota, JoJo was hospitalized due to severe abdominal pain.“Simply put, the past few days every time I danced or just walked, my stomach really, really hurt,” JoJo explained in a Nov. 29 post. TikTok video.“I don’t know why, but it passed, and I was like, ‘Maybe now is the time. Maybe it’s a cramp. I don’t know,'” she said.In the morning, before the performance, JoJo arrived at the Mall of America to prepare and film content. But when she returned to her room, she said to her mother: “I have to see a doctor when I get home…the pain is really bad.”Jojo tried to rest in bed, hoping it would get better, but the pain worsened to the point where she said, “I can’t breathe.”She tried jumping in the bathtub to see if the pain would subside, but said it “made the pain 100 times worse.”“So I got in the bathtub. I was in there for about four minutes and all of a sudden I thought, ‘I need to get out now.’ I knew I was going to pass out and I was going to throw up,” she said.Jojo called her mother, Jessalyn Siwa, to help her get dressed (since she could barely move) and then called 911. When they arrived at the hospital, JoJo’s father explained that he would follow the doctor’s orders on her behalf, but that he had already scheduled a performance.Fortunately, JoJo still continued to perform, but an ultrasound revealed the cause of her excruciating pain. “I had a cyst on one of my ovaries that had ruptured and was bleeding into my stomach,” Jojo said. “That was the cause of the severe pain.”JoJo assured fans that the issue should resolve itself and that she plans to get tested again. She is asked to “remain calm,” but that will be difficult since she is still at work. “The good news is we know what it is, and I think that gave me a lot of peace of mind,” she said. “Now I know what pain is, and I know that Please wait a moment. It’ll heal and you’ll calm down. ”“Every time it moves, even if I’m sleeping and I roll over, it wakes me up because it’s so painful and cramping because of the blood in my stomach,” she said, before adding, “So imagine it dancing.”Jojo ended the conversation by saying that she might have to go back to the hospital if she had severe pain or vomiting again, but that she would be “okay.”You can learn more about Jojo’s hospitalization experience here.
