The first lesbian archbishop of Britain fought back against critics and said it was “not wrong” for her to love her female partner.

Cherry Van served as Bishop of Monmouth for five years before being elected Archbishop of Wales in July. She later replaced Andy John, who retired Report protection He highlighted his obstacles in Bangor Parish.

Van became the first woman, as did the first lesbians, who were the leaders of the Welsh church.

Some more conservative members of the community, impressed by the appointment, revealed earlier this month that they were unable to view social media because they faced “harmful” messages about WhatsApp from other church leaders and were unable to view social media for fear of abuse.

Critics argued that the Welsh church “leaves from the teachings of the Bible,” and that Van’s appointment was “another painful claw in the Orthodox co-organized co-op of the Church of England.”

In response, Van said that she knows she is always gay, but never was rejected by God, and she said, “Where do you know? [He] I want to be me, that’s just what matters.”

The new archbishop of Wales responded to criticism of her appointment by conservatives in the church. Wales’ new archbishop, Rev. Cherry Van, became the first woman in the UK to be openly gay archbishop last month and became the first bishop to partner with the Anglican Church of primates. Her appointment was filled with disapproval from those who believe it contradicted the teachings of the Bible. Speaking to the Christian News Prime Minister, she said: “Christian holds a variety of views on all sorts of subjects, divorce, remarriage, ab0rtion, assisted dy1ng. Van stood on the ground and “I am the person of this moment,” she added. “I know I’m where God wants to be me, and that’s what matters.” #LGBTQTIKTOK #gayuk #gaypride

“Christians have different views on all kinds of subjects to help divorce, remarriage, abortion, death. We are not all in one heart about most things. And the church changes its position. It learns a broader understanding of God’s love.

“My understanding is that the Bible is [condemns are ones that] It’s purely for sexual satisfaction… abusive. In my view, they are not talking about the long-term loving relationships that I and many other LGBT+ people enjoy.

“I love my partner so I don’t know how much someone will love.”

If people feel that for her appointment people have to leave the Church of England and “please ask them to reconsider,” it is “very sad,” she added.

“People are completely accepting their views, but I want to officiate a church where we can learn to disagree. I think the church is better and richer for being more inclusive and more diverse.

“It’s about the beginning of the conversation, the relationship, and, hopefully, mutual respect we’re not trying to change. [other people’s] But we recognize that we are all God’s children and because Jesus loves each and every one of us, God calls us to love each other. ”
