HBO’s ‘intense rivalry’ breaks the internet

In case you haven’t heard yet, the BookTok sensation fierce rivalry is currently airing on HBO in Canada and the US as a Crave Original, but the internet is completely losing it. The longing, the desire, the tension, it’s all so fucking hot that you can never get enough of Elijah and Shane. Even before the series premiered, people were already losing their minds, and now that the first two episodes are out, they’re almost breathless with excitement.

Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams), the captain of the fictional Montreal Voyagers, sees hockey as his only distraction. Until he plays against the Boston Bears and meets his fierce rival, Russian-born Ilya Rozanov (Connor Story). With sparks flying both on and off the ice, Shane may have finally found his match on all fronts.

We’re talking about sports and sweat, team rivalries, steamy hotel rendezvous, the agony of long-distance relationships, unbridled longing, forbidden love… and yes, we’re talking about it. so sex. It’s binge-worthy and the perfect recipe for romance that you can’t stop watching.

And although we only have the first taste of Elijah and Shane, a lot has already been said on the Internet.

But my favorite comment as a Canadian is: have This is a comment about Canadians taking off their shoes when entering a room.

Because yes, it’s true. We don’t wear shoes indoors. For example, if someone says, “Don’t worry, you don’t have to take your shoes off,” you’ll immediately hang onto them and take them off.
