Green Party leader Zach Polanski is trending on X.com after partying with supporters at a London gay bar.
Mr Polanski, who was elected leader of the Green Party of England and Wales in a landslide election last September, has become popular with the LGBTQ+ community thanks to his hopeful politics.
The leader, who is gay himself, has publicly supported LGBTQ+ rights and is a staunch supporter of transgender rights, so it’s no surprise that he was photographed partying and greeting supporters at London’s LGBTQ+ venue Haven.
Zach Polanski joined clubbers to launch his own party on Sunday (January 25). green space – A new national community initiative from the Green Party. All money raised at this event will go towards winning the Green Party.
At the fundraiser, Polanski was seen enthusiastically participating in the festivities, at one point wearing a bucket hat on his head, smiling broadly, and posing for photos with other attendees, as seen in trending posts.
Another video shows Polanski giving a speech and telling an eager audience that he used to work in clubs and spend hours on the dance floor.
“As I look around here right now, this is community. Community is joy, community is resistance, community is love,” he told attendees, before revealing that 800 LGBTQ+ venues across the country have closed in the past five years.
“This is a government that knows the price of everything but knows the value of nothing,” he added.

Some opponents criticized the Green Party for holding a party on Sunday.
In response to Bristol’s Young Liberals’ emphasis on party days, one person wrote: “If Polanski’s biggest problem is that he’s too funny for the Lib Dems, then I think we’re fine.”

Last year, nightclub owner Jeremy Joseph announced the closure of Heaven’s sister venue, GAY.
In announcing the bar’s closure, Mr Joseph cited the changing scene in Soho and highlighted the impact of Haven’s closure after a bouncer was accused of rape. Morenikeji Adewole was after that. Found innocent.
