“Well, the Darlings… the curtains are down, the spotlights are dark, and the rhinestones are packed,” wrote former US Congressman George Santos (RN.Y.) on Thursday evening. “From the halls of council to the cable news turmoil, what a ride! Was it messy? Always. At times it’s fascinating. Honestly?
A few hours later, the former supervisor of openly gay people – up until now, the Queen of Drama – reported to federal prison that she would be sentenced to seven years in prison for fraud and identity theft.
Santos was sentenced in April after pleading guilty to fraud and worsening identity theft. He was ordered to pay $374,000 in reparations and confiscated more than $205,000 he had won in fraud.
Santos was elected to Congress in the “Wave” year of the New York Republican Party, representing Queens and parts of Long Island. It was soon revealed that he had created important details of his life story, elicited criticism from both parties for not rejecting the candidate for the dark horse, and raised questions about how he funded his campaign.
These questions led to House Ethics Committee investigations and cursing reports that found “substantial evidence” of criminal and ethical misconduct. Santos was eventually expelled from his home.
Santos was also charged with nearly 20 charges, including wire fraud, money laundering, identity theft, theft of public funds, making false statements to Congress and fraudulently claiming unemployment benefits in excess of $24,000.
Santos eventually accepted the plea deal and admitted that he had requested the donor’s credit card without permission and lied about funding to contribute to television ads. Instead, he spent money on personal expenses and stole the identities of almost 12 people, including his family, to donate to his campaign.
Unless pardoned, Santos will remain in prison until he turns 44 in early 2032. He previously gave forgiveness to President Donald Trump, who was loyal to the absurdity, but insisted that he could not overcome Trump’s inner circle “gatekeeper.”
Earlier this week, Santos told her to Julie Race Burfuke According to sources A podcast in which House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) urged Trump not to forgive him. He also insisted on fellow Republicans in New York, many of whom demanded his resignation, but put pressure on Johnson.
Johnson and other Republicans denied Santos’ accusations and called them “explicitly false.”

Santos told Bruf he wanted to sentence him to a prison sentence in protective custody rather than a typical prison population. “I would rather be seven years rather than risk rape, gangbang, sheeb, killed, strangled and bullied,” he said. “It’s the most likely death sentence for a gay man. Look at the statistics. That’s true.”
Earlier this month, Santos I wrote it on x If he dies in prison, it would not be an accident.
“I need you to hear clearly in this loud voice. I’m not committing suicide. I’m not depressed. I’m not going to hurt myself. And while I’m there, I’m willing to not engage in sexual activities,” Santos wrote. “If you suggest something differently and think of it as a lie… a complete stop.
“The statistics around what happens to gay men under BOP’s custody are scary. That’s why I put this there right now. So if something happens, there’s no confusion. I didn’t commit suicide.”
Earlier this week, Santos posted about resolving the separation, thinking about death and threatening a reporter who revealed the prison he was being held in.
“Reporters trying to find a place where I am surrendering should be aware of this,” he said. I wrote it on x. “An investigation will be done and anyone whose source is in the BOP or Marshalls office, they will be buried with you. That’s a promise.”
However, in his farewell message, Santos threw a more theatrical tone, signing the way he lived his public life, as if on stage.
“To my supporters: you made this wild political cabaret worthwhile. To my critics: Thank you for the free press,” he wrote. “I might leave the stage (for now), but the legend never really leaves.”
