One of the country’s most iconic strange celebrations hit a big milestone and did it with complete charm. Fire Island’s beloved July 4th tradition, Pine invasionturning 50 this year, Tryst Hospitality has confirmed that the celebration is nothing but legendary.
Waterfront acquisition worthy of drug history
Pavilions, blue whales, dining rooms and sun-soaked Trist pool decks spread across the gorgeous Fire Island Pines Waterfront of the day. Orchestrated by Tristan Schukraft, CEO of Misttr and Tryst Hotels, the celebration celebrated the legacy of the invasion, offering a preview of what comes at the highly anticipated debut of the Tryst Fire Island Hotel.
Let’s be clear. This wasn’t just a party. This was a sight of half a century of protest, pageantries and prideful drugs.

Post-invasion pool party and DJ beat? Of course.
The festival didn’t end at the port. After Queens landed, it was time to head to the Triest Pool deck. Violet Chakki She brought her signature high fashion edge to the post-invasion pool party. From there, guests danced through nights of low tea, high tea and pure white gala bunting, and the waterfront became a full runway with late night flavors.

Future view: Triist era
On Tryst Fire Island Hotel on the Horizon, Schukraft and the Team revealed that this is more than a party. A new era of strange luxury, celebrations and communities is on the way to the island.
Fifty years later, the invasion shows no signs of slowing down. If anything, it has evolved in the same way as the community it celebrates.
