Elbiana “Baddy” Johnson, a 25-year-old black transgender woman, was found dead near a pond not far from her home in Tabor, North Carolina, and police are investigating the murderous death, according to multiple media outlets.

She left the house around 3am on February 13th and reported that her family went missing three days later. According to a local paper, she “without belongings, as if to meet someone,” the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office said in a notification of missing persons. News Reporter. “Johnson’s mother was the last person to see or talk to Johnson before leaving. All personal items, including phone, ID card and bank cards, were left behind.”
The North Carolina Bureau of Investigation is supporting the sheriff’s office in the case. The cause of Johnson’s death has not been determined, but a preliminary autopsy report indicates the murder, a press release from the SBI says. Investigators are seeking a 21-year-old black man who is said to be a “criminal/subject” in Johnson’s death.

Johnson “worked as a digital content creator and at Lakuntein & Sweets.” Pittsburgh Lesbian Correspondent Report. “Her social media content suggests that she loved dancing, was creative, brave and bold.” She was a Glorilla fan, RuPaul’s Drag Race, And the hip-hop majolet contest, and she was close to her family, especially her nie and ne, according to the site.
