Drew Barrymore surprises Ariana Grande with original antique prop wizard of oz movie.
The Drew Barrymore Show Organizers and LGBTQ+ advocates welcomed evil I decided to appear on the show and surprise her.
In light of her new movie, in which Grande plays Glinda the Good Witch, Barrymore enlisted the help of a team to track down the ultimate Ozification artifact. It’s Grina’s original cane from the classic 1939 film. wizard of oz.
Barrymore told Grande: It was actually owned by the Smithsonian Institution, but is now in private hands. But they lent it to us for us to sit on.
“Please bring out the original Glinda’s wand,” Barrymore asked the crew as Grande was visibly in disbelief.
“Thank you, it was fun,” Grande said as she grabbed her cane and snuck away. “Yeah, just kidding. Just kidding.”
The host highlighted how Grande appeared to be holding a cane effortlessly because she was wearing a pink striped dress. “You wear it so perfectly.”
Grande asked, “How did you pull this off?” In response, Barrymore explained that the cast and crew were responsible for putting this piece of history into the hands of the movie’s stars.
The “We Can’t Be Friends” singer has long had an affinity for the musical. “I had the incredible privilege of seeing the original Broadway cast of ‘Wicked’ when I was 10 years old,” she said in a previous feature on the film.
Of course, this musical was made famous by Broadway legends Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth. “I felt a bond right away.”
Elsewhere, a resurfaced interview clip showed the young singer being asked which lead role in Wicked she would choose, and without hesitation she answered, “Glinda, for sure.”
