Friday, September 5th

“Center Aging Friday Tea Time” Visit DC Center’s at the DC Center for the DC Center for the RSVP, a new location in the LGBT community at Wiltberger St, NW. Website Or email [email protected].

Hosted by Go Gay DC “First Friday LGBTQ+ Community Social” 7pm at Silver Diner Ballston. This event is ideal for creating new friends, professional networking, ideas sharing, and community building. This event is free and details are available at EventBrite.

A movement for choice hosts “Quere Joy is Resistance: M4C X Capital Sapphics Party” At 6:30pm, Kiki. This will be an evening of community, care and disrespectful joy. Revenue supports Smyal, Movement for Choice, and Capital Sapphics. Learn more about three local organizations that build queer communities, support LGBTQ+ youth, and advocate for DC’s reproductive justice. EventBrite.

Saturday, September 6th

Hosted by Go Gay DC “LGBTQ+ Community Brunch” 12pm at Freddie’s Beach Bar & Restaurant. This fun weekly event brings together the DMV area LGBTQ+ community, including allies, for delicious food and conversation. Attendees are free and detailed EventBrite.

People from LGBTQ Color Support Group Zoom will take you to 7pm. This peer support group is an outlet for LGBTQ people of color to come together to talk about what’s impacting in a space where they strive to be safe and judged. There are all kinds of activities, including watching movies, poetry events, storytelling, spending time with others. For more information, please see thedcenter.org/poc or facebook.com/centerpoc.

Sunday, September 7th

Hosted by S&T Productions “Community: Showcase of DMV’s Talents” At 6pm at Chateau Inc, this is a fun, night with music, drugs, lip sync and community atmosphere. This event is about bringing people together to celebrate a shared love for music and fun times. Whether you’re a longtime fan or new to the scene, everyone is welcome to participate in the festival. Dance, interact and make memories with fellow music lovers. Tickets are available for $24.57 EventBrite.

Monday, September 8th

“Center Aging Monday Coffee Clutch” Zoom in to 10am. This is a social time for older LGBTQ+ adults. Guests are encouraged to bring their chosen drinks. For more information, please send an email [email protected].

Gender Care DC It will be held directly at the DC Center of the LGBT community on Zoom at 7pm. This is a support group for people who identify outside of gender binary, whether you know you’re not Bigender, Agender, GenderFluid, or 100% CI. Tuesday, September 9th

Issuing a discussion group Zoom will take you to 7pm. This is a peer facilitation discussion group. It’s a safe space to share your experiences about what’s coming up and discuss topics related to doing so. By sharing struggles and victory, the group can learn from new people and others for a while. Lesbian, gay, bi, trance, allie and more can be involved in discussions. Transdiscussion group Zoom will take you to 7pm. The group aims to provide a safe space emotionally and physically for trans people and those who may question their gender identity/expression to participate in the community and learn from each other. Hosted on Technology DC “Society at the end of summer” Spark Social House at 6:30pm. This is a community, connection and celebration evening that will close the season and prepare you for the next few months. Attendees are free and detailed EventBrite.

Wednesday, September 10th

Job Club Zoom will take 6pm. This is a weekly employment support program to help employment participants and seekers, including long-term unemployed, improve their confidence, motivation, resilience and productivity for effective job search and networking, allowing participants to simply move away from becoming “applicants” towards “candidates.” For more information, please send an email [email protected] Or visit www.thedcenter.org/careers.

Thursday, September 11th

DC Center Fresh produce program It will be held all day at the DC Center of the LGBT community. People will be notified at 5pm on Wednesday if they are chosen to receive a box of produce. No evidence of residence or income is required. For more information, please send an email [email protected] Alternatively, call 202-682-2245.

Virtual yoga with Charles M Zoom will take you to 7pm. This is a free weekly class focusing on yoga, breathing work and meditation. For more information, please visit the DC Center of the LGBT Community Website.
