Democratic National Committee launches six-figure ad buys LGBTQ+ Launched national publications and first campaign targeting this community.
The “I Will Vote” campaign aims to appeal to LGBTQ+ voters in presidential battleground states and in House and Senate races across the country. Launching on Friday, it will initially include 16 publications, but more will be added each week. According to a press release from the DNC, it is expected to reach 1 million voters in the first week alone.
“This historic investment by the Democratic Party aims to respond to voters where they are, recognizing that the LGBTQ+ community is a large and diverse voting bloc that we do not take for granted. “DNC Chair Jamie Harrison said in a statement. “With our fundamental freedoms to be who we are and to love who we love on the ballot this November, we are empowering the diverse members of the LGBTQ+ community to make their voices heard. In this fragmented media environment, we are speaking to people through trusted platforms to make it easy for the LGBTQ+ community and others to check when, where and how they can check their voter registration status. We know we need to be smart about how we reach voters. We know Democrats are doing everything they can to win this election and we need to increase turnout. By incorporating a diverse coalition of voters wherever we are, we can elect Democrats up and down the ballot, from the White House to the school board and beyond.”

This ad campaign was executed in partnership with Rivendell Media, the nation’s oldest company dedicated to LGBTQ+ media buying. The DNC did not disclose the specific amount of the campaign, other than saying it would be in the six figures, or at least $100,000.
