Demi Lovato has canceled five upcoming concerts “to protect her health.”
The 33-year-old singer-songwriter said on her Instagram Story on Tuesday (February 10) that she was canceling five dates for 2019. It’s not that deep They toured around concerns that they had “overextended” themselves.
The tour was originally scheduled to begin in North Carolina on April 8th, but will now begin in Florida on April 13th.
“My Lovatics – We’re so excited to get back on stage this year and visit you in as many cities as possible,” they said. “When we started preparing for the tour, we realized that we were opening ourselves up too much.
“In order to protect my health and ensure I give my all for each show, I will need to adjust my schedule to allow for more rest and rehearsal time, and ultimately to allow me to complete the full tour schedule.”
Tour dates to be cut include performances in Charlotte, Nashville, Atlanta, Las Vegas and Denver.
“I’m so sad that we won’t be able to see each other anymore on this tour, and I’m so sorry to everyone who was planning on joining us,” she continued.
The singer said refunds for tickets purchased through Ticketmaster or AXS have already been processed. If you received your tickets from a third-party reseller such as StubHub or SeatGeek, you will need to contact the site directly for a refund.
Additional tickets for available tour dates were also sold on Lovato’s website.
“We are so excited about this tour and can’t wait to see so many of your faces singing along!” they said. “Thank you for your continued support. I love you. I can’t wait to see you soon.”
