Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B announced that he will drop “imagined player” this Friday (August 15th) on Monday (August 11th). “Just taste of drama. Imaginary player this Friday,” she teased. Instagrampost photos of yourself in a matching white fur coat and Rolls Royce and rock pastel pink hair.
The new truck arrived just two months after “outside.” Her summer hit reached number one on both Billboard’s rhythmic airplay and rap airplay charts earlier this month. “External” also debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 in July, marking Cardi’s 13th top 10 single.
Part of Am I a drama? The era
“Imaginary Players” will be taking part in Cardi’s upcoming second-year album “Outside” Am I a drama?scheduled for September 19th via Atlantic Records. The project also introduces her chart toppers “WAP” and Megan The You Stallion and “Up.”
“This will be the last time I’ll deal with this,” she wrote. “Wap and Up are two of my biggest songs. My fans have asked me to put albums on. People are always looking for them on IOP… They deserve home.”
Seven years
Am I a drama? Comes seven years after Cardi’s debut album Invasion of privacyIt surpassed the Billboard 200 in 2018, won Grammy’s Best Rap Album in 2019, and in 2022 it earned RIAA history with all 13 tracks certified Platinum or above.
When this week’s “Imaginary Player” drops, the countdown will officially be turned on for Cardi’s return. And if her recent hit is any indication, she is trying to dominate the charts again.
