Friday, November 21st

“Center Aging Friday Tea Time” will be held in person at the DC Center, the LGBT community’s new home located at 1827 Wiltberger St., NW, starting at 12 p.m. To RSVP, please visit the DC Center. Website or by email [email protected].

Transgender and Genderqueer Game Night will be held at the DC Center for the LGBT Community from 6 p.m. This is an evening to relax and unwind while enjoying games and fun. Everyone is welcome. We will have card games and board games available. Visit the DC Center for more information. Website.

Go Gay DC will host an “LGBTQ+ Community Social in the City” at Hotel Zena from 7 p.m. This event is perfect for making new friends, professional networking, sharing ideas, and building community. This event is free. For more information, event bright.

Saturday, November 22nd

Go Gay DC will host an “LGBTQ+ Community Brunch” at Freddy’s Beach Bar & Restaurant starting at 12 p.m. This fun weekly event brings together the DMV area’s LGBTQ+ community (including allies) for great food and conversation. Participation is free and details can be found here event bright.

The Black Lesbian Support Group will be held on Zoom at 11 a.m. This is a peer-led support group that addresses the joys and challenges of being a Black lesbian. For more information please email us [email protected].

Sunday, November 23rd

Tours of Her Own will be holding a “Walking Tour: Queer Feminist History Across the Rainbow” from 10 a.m. at Ferghat Square. Guests are encouraged to explore feminist history through a queer lens and discover how Washington DC has been a pivotal place for the LGBTQ+ community. Tickets start at $15 and can be purchased below. event bright.

KhushDC will be hosting a screening of “The Queen of My Heart” at the DC Center for the LGBT Community starting at 2 p.m. This queer Pakistani film is described as a “vibrant genre-blending mother-daughter drama that explores queerness, memory, and the dreams of the Bollywood that shape us.” Participation is free and details can be found here event bright.

Monday, November 24th

“Center Aging: Monday Coffee Klatch” will be held at 10 a.m. on Zoom. This is a social hour for LGBTQ+ seniors. Guests are encouraged to bring their own beverage of choice. For more information, see Adam ([email protected]).

“Soulful Queer: LGBTQ+ Mental Health and Spirituality Drop-in” will be held at the DC Center for the LGBT Community from 3 p.m. The group will meet weekly for eight weeks to offer a series of drop-in sessions aimed at providing a safe and welcoming space for open and respectful conversations. Each session allows participants to explore themes such as spirituality, identity, and belonging at their own pace, whether they attend regularly or drop in from time to time. Queer Book Club will be held on Zoom from 6:30 p.m. This month’s reading is “Mermaids, Witches, and the Sea” by Maggie Tokuda Hall. For more information please email us [email protected].

Tuesday, November 25th

Genderqueer DC will be held on Zoom from 7 p.m. This is a support group for people who identify outside the gender binary, whether they identify as bigender, agender, genderfluid, or just know they’re not 100% cis. For more information, please visit: www.genderqueerdc.org or facebook.

The Coming Out Discussion Group will be held on Zoom starting at 7 p.m. This is a safe space to share your experiences with coming out and discuss topics related to coming out. By sharing their struggles and triumphs, groups allow both those who are newly coming out and those who have been out for a while to learn from others. Wednesday, November 26th

Job clubs will be held on Zoom at 6pm upon request. This is a weekly job support program designed to help job seekers and candidates, including the long-term unemployed, improve their confidence, motivation, resilience and productivity, as well as assist them with effective job searching and networking, enabling participants to move from being mere ‘applicants’ to ‘candidates’. “Healing Exercises with Felicia Taliaferro” starts at 3 p.m. This is a space for nervous system nourishment and physical repair. Visit the DC Center for more information. Website.

The Asexual & Aromantic Group will meet on Zoom from 7 p.m. This is a space where people who are questioning this aspect of their identity, or who identify as asexual and/or aromantic, can come together, share stories and experiences, and discuss a variety of topics. Currently, this group is a meeting place for both identities, but we recognize that over time the group may choose to host separate meetings. Please see email for more information. Thursday, November 27th

The DC Center Fresh Produce program will be held throughout the day at the DC Center for the LGBT Community. You will be notified on Wednesday at 5pm if you have been selected to receive a produce box. No proof of residence or income is required.
