Friday, July 11th

“Center Aging Friday Tea Time” This is social hour for older LGBTQ+ adults at 2pm at DC Center, a new location for the LGBT community at 1827 Wiltberger St., NW. Guests are encouraged to bring their chosen drinks. For more information, please send an email [email protected].

Women in their 20s and 30s Zoom will take 8pm. This is a social discussion group for queer women in the Washington, DC area, and is a great way to make new friends and meet other queer women in a fun and friendly environment. For more information, please visit the DC Center Website.

Hosted by Go Gay DC “LGBTQ+Happy Hour” Fireflies at 7pm. This event is ideal for creating new friends, professional networking, ideas sharing, and community building. This event is free and details are available at EventBrite.

Saturday, July 12th

Hosted by Go Gay DC “Fun story time for the family” 12pm at Freddie’s Beach Bar & Restaurant. Join the award-winning drag queen Tarahoot and enjoy songs, stories, bubbles, dolls and dance. It’s a pleasant event you didn’t know what you needed. This event is perfect for kids and kids. Attendees are free and detailed EventBrite.

Hosted by Miss Capital Pride “Dc Drug Branch on the Roof – Penthouse” 12pm at MXDC Cocina Mexicana. Guests will experience a Mexican brunch infused with special baby shank dishes complemented by delicious margaritas and mimosas in the beautiful, spacious atmosphere of MXDC. There is also an outstanding performance of gorgeous drag queens and famous celebrity impersonation. These include Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Nicki Minargy, Ariana Grande, Whitney Houston, and Cher. Ticket costs $30.65 and is available EventBrite.

Sunday, July 13th

National Portrait Gallery will be held “Stormo at Stonewall” At 1:30pm, this is a gallery talk with LJ Roberts and Charlotte Iques. The exhibition is a lightbox portrait of Stormo Dellarvery, an activist who is said to have thrown the first brick at Stonewall, believed to have launched the modern LGBTQ+ rights movement in 1969. Roberts created this unconventional portrait in response to Dellarylee’s absence in a mainstream story about Stonewaal’s history. Attendees are free and detailed EventBrite.

Monday, July 14th

“Center Aging Monday Coffee Clutch” Zoom in to 10am. This is a social time for older LGBTQ+ adults. Guests are encouraged to bring their chosen drinks. For more information, please send an email [email protected].

Gender Care DC It will be held in person at the DC Center of the LGBT community at 7pm. This is a support group for people who identify outside of gender binary, whether you are Bigender, Agender, GenderFluid or not know that you are not 100% CI. For more information, please see genderqueerdc.org or Facebook.

Tuesday, July 15th

Center BI+Round Table Conference Zoom will take you to 7pm. This is an opportunity for people to come together to discuss issues related to bisexuality or as individuals in BI in a private setting. Facebook or Meet up For more information.

Wednesday, July 16th

Job Club Zoom will take 6pm. This is a weekly employment support program to help employment participants and seekers, including long-term unemployed, improve their confidence, motivation, resilience and productivity for effective job search and networking, allowing participants to simply move away from becoming “applicants” towards “candidates.” For more information, please send an email [email protected] Or visit thedcenter.org/careers.

Thursday, July 17th

DC Center Fresh produce program It will be held all day at the DC Center of the LGBT community. People will be notified at 5pm on Wednesday if they are chosen to receive a box of produce. Virtual yoga with Charles M Zoom will take you to 7pm. This is a free weekly class focusing on yoga, breathing work and meditation. For more information, please visit the DC Center of the LGBT Community Website.

Lit Lovers: Book Club for Seniors Zoom will take 2pm. The book selection for July is Rita May Brown’s “RubyFruit Jungle.” For more information, please visit the DC Center Website.

Polydiscussion group Zoom will take you to 7pm. This is an inclusive, welcoming, virtual, safer space, and you can talk about everything. For more information, please send an email [email protected].
