Big Brother’s Dean Quinton was kicked out of the house last week. (ITV)

ITV producer older brother One participant has been accused of allowing homophobia to get away with after another was accused of offensive language.

Dean Quinton, a 35-year-old gay barber, was evicted last week.

After his departure, older brother Quinton revealed on Instagram Live that Marcello Spooks called him “Kampenstein” after he dressed up as Frankenstein’s monster during Halloween week.

Mr Quinton also claimed that many housemates, particularly the “core group”, were making repeated comments about things being “gay” in the house, such as saying “that’s gay”.

He did not name the housemates in question, but the “core group” is used to refer to Hana, Segun, Marcello, Thomas and Khalid.

some Redditors expressed outrage over Quinton’s revelationsMarcello in particular has been accused of making a number of other unpleasant comments in the past, including sexual and flirtatious comments about the women in his household.

One Reddit poster said: “Why does Marcello get away with homophobia and misogyny?!”

Others questioned why Marcello had not been “kicked out” of the house, wondered why viewers were unaware of the homophobic comments, and said ITV “broadcasts of this kind of behavior” We are doing our best to avoid this.”

Additionally, hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best blocked Quinton’s attempt to raise homophobic allegations during his former housemate’s exit press conference.

During the interview, Quinton said: “He’s actually a nice guy,” but over time he started making misogynistic comments about women.

“One of the comments was, ‘What to do in Amsterdam?’ Hey ladies! ” Quinton claimed, but this was not aired. “To me, you don’t treat women like that. That’s disgusting. Then he started making homophobic comments…”

At this point, Odudu interjected, stating that Marcello “obviously” said “something that made you uncomfortable…”

ITV has recently come under fire for editing out pro-Palestinian symbols, including Ali Bromley’s watermelon T-shirt.
