Bisexual rapper Azealia Banks has caused a backlash after posting to X that being gay or transgender is “not natural,” then calls it a “traumatic response” for both.
The bank commented according to the X user that the X user had Replying to deleted post.
“This post gives victims of attacks’ coping mechanisms to streamline their abuse. Get help!” Users say, “It’s okay to go to therapy!”
“Well, being gay or transgender is not actually a natural thing,” Banks replied. “It’s a totally traumatic response. Science lies to you, you’re normal, but gay, and at a more extreme ending, transgender is actually a traumatic response.

The Banks post sparked criticism of Swift, with one X user writing, “Every time I tweeted, I beat my stupidity. It’s actually impressive.”
“Same-sex attraction and living outside the assigned gender roles is not a modern concept,” one user wrote. “They have been around for cultures and centuries as long as humans record history.”
“It’s like you’re trying as hard as you can to become the least desirable person in music,” added another.
This is not the first time a bank has targeted the LGBTQ community. In 2015, she called a Delta flight attendant “Fucking f****t” during a plane argument later defended herself by claiming she was a victim of racism.
In 2020, the bank shared a meme claiming that gay men use harnesses, lubricants and ketamine to “mix horse culture.” She defended the post, saying that users laughed at Yoruba’s religious practices linked to the goddess Iemaya.
Later that year, the bank was suspended from Twitter asking to end what it described as “high-end transgender healthcare.”
In 2021, black LGBTQ activists urged Instagram to suspend bank accounts after a transphobic tilade. She argued that if society could “do mental exercises” to embrace trans women, it should be accepted as Jews to marry artist Rider Lip.
In another post, the bank called “only a hot gay boy with face and plastic surgery,” called trans women, adding that he is “a hormonal gay boy to use male attacks to force female space.”
