In a rambling speech about our attack on Iran, recorded during a campaign tour, the U.S. president said, “The Iranian regime is going to kill people. It may cost the lives of courageous American heroes, we may suffer casualties — as is often the case in wars — but we’re not just doing this now. We’re doing this for the future, and it’s a noble mission.”
The United States has not declared war on Iran. Only Congress can declare war, not the president. As I write this, this felon has yet to give a live address to the American people about what he is doing, and Americans have already lost their lives. He is spending his weekends at Mar-a-Lago as usual. Will he have a ball heading to the golf course as American lives continue to be at risk?
This operation is clearly a way to distract the American public from the felons’ failed domestic policies. From rising food prices, rent, and health insurance. from the loss of manufacturing jobs; reported In November, “Manufacturing shed an additional 6,000 jobs in September, for a total of 58,000 jobs lost since April.” If he didn’t take action against Iran now, every news organization in America would have reported on the Epstein scandal by publishing depositions, videos, and recordings of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton before Congressional Oversight Committees.
Even more frightening is that this may be his way of preparing to declare a national emergency to undermine the midterm elections now that his American Rescue Act has been rejected by Congress.
Americans have to ask themselves how long they’re going to put up with this warmonger, racist, sexist, liar, homophobic SOB who doesn’t care one bit about them, only about himself and his wealthy colleagues, and holds as much grudge as he can against them all while he’s president.
None of this is to say that we should not impose constraints on Iran, try to ensure that it never has a nuclear bomb, or limit its missile production. We were working toward the goal of preventing them from acquiring a nuclear bomb, but the felon pulled us out of an agreement to advance it during his first term. He is currently not siding with the State Department and Secretary of State Marco Rubio in negotiations, relying instead on his son-in-law Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff. The attack was launched while negotiations were in progress. This is what happened last weekend reported, Omani Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi, who mediated the talks in Geneva, said there had been “significant progress in negotiations.” Al-Busaidi added that “technical-level consultations will continue next week in Vienna, the headquarters of the International Atomic Energy Agency.” The United Nations nuclear power watchdog will likely be key to any agreement.
This is clearly what Mr. Kushner and Mr. Witkoff, two negotiators who were not on the side of the State Department, secretly reported to the felon. My guess is that some progress was made, but clearly it wasn’t what the president wanted. So it became clear that he needed a quick distraction after his State of the Union address failed to make an impact on the sluggish poll numbers.
I have written many times about the alternate world Trump is making us live in. I’m just waiting for his MAGA cult to react to this. Will they still blindly follow everything he says, or will the Laura Loomers of the world finally say, “This sucks, stay home and take care of us, do what you promised to do to make our lives better.” First MAGA say It was Marjorie Taylor Greene. Then, Tucker Carlson launched an onslaught against felons. His publicist, Caroline Leavitt, recently said that “things are better than last year” and is confused by all the lies. He clearly forgot that last year was 2025, and the felon is responsible for last year because he was president for all but 20 of those days.
I am an optimist and believe that our democracy will withstand the blatant attacks of him and his fascist clique. We won a revolution against a king, survived a civil war, and emerged stronger as a unified nation. We helped Europe defeat Hitler. I believe Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) when he says the military refuses illegal orders. A command to act against one’s fellow citizens. I believe the American people will realize before it’s too late. They will finally reject the POS in the White House and the sycophants and fascists who surround him, and take back our country for all our people.
