Every year, most major companies, including Target, release most Pride Month products, and usually donate at least some proceeds from their collection to LGBTQ+ charities.
However, in recent months, several companies have resumed support for LGBTQ+ pride and related initiatives.
The target is one of those companies. Just four days after Trump’s inauguration, Target announced it plans to eliminate employment targets for minority employees, highlighting the need to “stay along the evolving external landscape,” CNN reports. However, despite the DEI Rollback, the company is still releasing its annual Pride collection. Details are below.
Recently, NYC Pride announced it had lost several major sponsors who previously financially supported the annual march. Wall Street Journal MasterCard reported that it has not renewed its corporate sponsorship this March after being a “Platinum” sponsor for almost a decade. Nissan, City, PepsiCo and consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) also did not sponsor the event this year, according to the report.
Eve Keller, co-chairman of the American Pride Association, told the outlet that the move from leaving the sponsorship of the Pride event was due to “pressure” by the Trump administration on the DEI program.

As mentioned above, despite the widespread DEI rollback, Target is still releasing its 2025 Pride March collection, but has been criticised online.
The Pride Collection appears to have been reduced compared to the past few years, focusing on the collection of “Pride Birds” that includes two birds labeled “Gal” and “Pal.” Many of this year’s collections are only available online, not in stores, and all Pride Marches are clearly labelled “adults.”
