The Baltimore inspector general’s office has launched an investigation into Emenuga’s work at a private clinic while he served as health commissioner, according to people familiar with the matter but not authorized to speak publicly. did. Emenuga’s clinical work was conducted at Chase Brexton, a nonprofit health care center founded in 1978 as a volunteer-run gay health clinic in the Mount Vernon area. Today, the clinic has locations throughout Maryland and sees approximately 40,000 patients annually, with a focus on serving the poor and underserved.
