I’m waiting for Godot and astrology
By Barry Rosen
Saturn/Sun bonding and burning, Mars without fish boundaries, some difficult transits have been made in Pisces’ mercury reflux, moving towards Pisces universe, with six planets in Pisces.
Yes, it’s getting better, we’re still protecting Venus, and Jupiter is getting stronger with the D9 chart of the Cancer Division where spiritual wisdom and good fortune flourish.
The spiritual master reminds us to live in the present. I’ve always written about not being sacrificed by the planet. I recall teaching university literature and the very wonderful French plays that are still very popular, I’m waiting for Godot
Samuel Beckett’s ingenious play is embodying the idea of wanting a future rather than embracing the present, including two hobo-like characters awaiting Godot’s arrival, and existential voids are a hallmark of world literature and a light-like reminder of us in the world.
The planet is schools and teachers, and their transport sets karmic situations, so this time we can make it even better. It’s like Bill Murray from the 1993 film. Groundhog Day. Will he learn kindness and compassion this time, or will he continue to wake up to the same gross old weather that treats people badly? Will you suffer from making new, better choices this time, or repeating the same patterns?
I often wait for people to begin their next big cycle. When my Jupiter period comes, and when I leave Lahu, it will be better. If I could get out of the Ketu era, my life would be better. Often this has been going on for years and a new cycle may not bring everything you wanted.
There are rare charts and rare periods where everything works on every cylinder. Life is rather mixed. Relationships may work in one period, but health and work are challenging. Life is often a very complicated mix, and while this might shine with a strong placement on the D-10 or career chart, the Jupiter Age may shine, but the relationship may not work, you can see this.
The malicious planet that causes our suffering will ultimately drive our great high school coaches to inflict short-term pain and make us bigger people. The challenge is whether we are willing to embrace challenges, change lives, make difficult decisions, or are we awaiting Godot’s arrival, acting like Diddy and Go-Go in Becketplay, somehow magically saving our lives.
If we accept their lessons, the malicious planet is our friend. When they’re not around, we still have to find the energy, clarity and courage to get out of the problem. If we are willing to take the first step and change our lives, God is there.
More importantly, we cannot live our lives waiting for something to improve in the future. We must make changes to the present, become better people, do the right thing, make the same mistakes. Transits are repeated every year, testing us and seeing if they have risen to the opportunity to make new choices and lead a better life.
Yes, it’s nice to have a nice transit, but Malefics is our friend too, and they are forced to learn a difficult lesson from us. Everyone is afraid of Saturn because he teaches responsibility, discipline, hard work, endurance and stability in his suffering. Of course, we always want to party and seek Venus and joy, but we go on vacation and meet wealthy people and drink on the beach all day. When you meet people who have experienced many Saturn events, they have a deeper depth and there is something about them that is lively, fresh and authentic. Suffering builds character and makes us wonderful people we are.
People often think of goats and mantras as magic bullets that solve all their problems. They are very helpful, but they mostly loosen the grip in our minds and allow us to take action and get through the problems. We still have to make these tough choices, and we can create new good karma for the future by helping others and one-tenths of ti, and this is essential.
So you will accept your Sad Sat, your Saturn period, your Raf, and your Mars and Ketu, and you will realize they are your good friends. They are tough coaches at schools, make you a successful athlete, which will go down the road and pay dividends. Live in the present moment and enjoy the gifts of the planets there. There is always a gift, and sometimes you have to dig deeper to see it, but the gift is there. Enjoy watching the game in this wonderful world, relax your grip of suffering with yoga, meditation and good deeds, and Godot may finally arrive in your Saturn era. Have a nice day!
