Solar Eclipse in Virgo: Letting Go to Grow

My intention for today was to talk a bit about the upcoming solar eclipse taking place at 29 Virgos this weekend on Sunday, September 21st.

I recorded a Detailed podcast on Virgo’s Eclipsefor each of the 12 different ascendant signs, includes tips for manipulating this solar eclipse. You can catch podcasts here Or where to listen to the podcasts.

But when I write, I can’t help but notice the date – September 18th. That’s a milestone that’s personally important to me. He first landed at Toronto Airport 17 years ago, reunited with Peter and first landed to begin life in Canada.

Meet Peter

A few months ago I met at the UAC Astrology Conference in Denver. He had been coming to visit Sydney ever since, and we met. Joke, we said on our third date for a week’s trip in Maui. (Well, it was the third time we’ve seen each other!

It was during the Beijing Olympics and we saw together some of the events in Maui, including a boys eight rowing that Australia didn’t do much like hope and Canada.

And just a few weeks later, I was on a plane and towing my suitcase. “See what happens!“If I explored what it means to our blossoming relationship to move around the country and be in the same town.

Going to Canada

Looking back, it sounds absolutely wild, as does some of the most important experiences of life. We had no idea about each other for six months.

Still, I walked through the habit, engraved on work visas, magically stretching from standard two to three years. And he waited to meet me.

We leave the airport together and never look back, but real life is awkward so there were definitely some moments in the first few months that I struggled with. It was a tough winter, I was incredibly cold, the amount of snow was insane and I was a bit lonely.

Life was messy

I was happy to be with Peter, but starting my career from near-zero was intense and the long winter nights were very different to what I was used to. At one point, I saw trucks piled up and stacked up from the neighbourhood (to keep the roads transparent) and thought they had landed on the moon! Spending her childhood in Fiji and growing up in Sydney was a totally foreigner for this girl.

And while it was the season to explore unfamiliar people, Peter and I continued walking together. And I think we’ve been married for 12 years now, so we’ve probably gotten along.

Looking back + Rate the present

From a perspective at the time, I couldn’t imagine life now.

The young girl’s biggest dream is to start a new life in a place that is very different from what she knew, exceeding all expectations, both personally and professionally.

Virgo and Pisces Repeated Eclipse Cycle, 2006 – 2008 to 2024 – 2026

Looking back at that time, I also remember that Nod was where he was in 2006, 2007 and early 2008. The North Node was in Pisces and the South Node was in Virgo.

The subsequent eclipse is like the eclipse season we are in.

So, as inspired by these current solar eclipses, it was a memory lane for my personal walks, but I would encourage you to remember that you are you and the kind of changes you made in 2007 or 2008.

How much have you changed, grown and evolved since then?

The agitated echoes are then carried into the swirling shadows of the current solar eclipse.

Aspirations, dreams, shadows

And are there any aspirations you still don’t meet?

(I really wanted to leave Sydney.

And then, are there any dreams you have achieved?

Regardless of all the great professional opportunities my path has come since I moved, I am proud of my marriage and my strong partnership. Peter and I will raise children, navigate families in two different countries, organize life, career and health, share life with another wonderful, wild, inspirational, messy person.

Grow

This solar eclipse in Virgo is powered by the South Node to encourage release and clearing, so you can know that it may help you get in the way of your longest dreams.

I couldn’t imagine exactly where I was now, but I was happy to leave it to myself that I knew I would try something different. Under this South Node solar eclipse, what are you ready to let go?
