In this episode, we explore the techniques of secondary progression that Kelly frequently uses with clients and frequently uses in personal work with friends, family and himself. Kelly saw several components of Prince Harry’s chart and left him and Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, from the British royal family. This example gives a very good glimpse into astrology in behavior.

A new live cohort of Kelly’s course begins with “progressive predictions.” The live cohort includes access to lessons, measurements, homework and discussion forums, but also includes several live Q&A sessions during June. For more information, please see here

Predicting Progress – Example charts for the ending and pitching in a new direction

Hello, I’m back to another show on Kelly’s Astrology Podcast.

Today’s show will share one of the timing techniques: secondary progression. This is the prediction tool I use all the time. In your own life with clients, students and your own students.

Check out our published example chart for key outcomes and changes. Looking at Prince Harry’s charts, I repeat this in January 2020 when his wife, Meghan Markle, escaped from the royal family.

Before diving into it, I wanted to let you know that there is now a live cohort of students experiencing an ongoing course in my predictions. If you want to learn the techniques of quadratic progression so that you can use this prediction tool in your life, we hope you can join us. Live Q and sessions will be held in June this year. Go back to early 2020 with Prince Harry.

Some may remember this story as Harry and Meghan are about to step down from negotiations that took place around full-time royal and royal roles. And maybe some of you aren’t! that’s ok.

This public example chart means you can track your story against astrology, but most of the time my intention is to explain what it looks like when an individual makes a major change in his or her life. That way you will find some triggers in astrology looking for.

As you progress through this example, you will also get insight into how progression works. Share how you stack progression and transit. This is a fairly mid-level astrology, so I hope you find it interesting. Of course, if you are intrigued and want to learn more, I would recommend you check out my online astrology courses www.kellyastrology.com

A simple intro to the second progression. This is an iconic timing tool that moves the chart forward one day before the time of your life.

A simple conceptual way to understand this is to think about your age no matter what. Tell me you’re 41 years old. In a secondary progression, you will look at the planetary arrangement at the 41st day, giving you meaning at the age of 41.

It sounds wild and eccentric, but in reality, over 20 years, it’s amazing in terms of insight and timing.

So, in reality, there are four different predictive things that are active on Harry’s charts in early 2020. There are two important progressions and two transits, and the way in which several interpretations are incorporated into the transit is drawn from the quality of energy that progression is moving forward.

So let’s start with progress.

First, Harry’s ongoing moon phase in early 2020 was the Balsamic or Dark Moon phase. This is a period of about 3-4 years when the moon is in her dark stages. It’s a season of life related to ending, closure and completion. It is also when people are usually exhausted, tired or running, as if their spirit is being spent, with more extended breaks and paces being slower, or as if they long for retreat and hermit time.

Everybody goes through the balsamic moon phase of the last four years at some point every 30 years. Therefore, it is important because you want to lie down low and get more rest.

Harry was heading into the Balsamic Moon Phase when 2020 began, so for at least the next four years, Harry had a theme of retreat and pullback.

Then it comes down to the massive advances I wanted to mention. This is a unique aspect that not everyone has. This involves Mars ongoing coupled with the Ascendant. For Harry, this progression was active from December 2019 to May 2021.

This is a complex progression, advancing the quality of Mars.

In modern astrology, Mars is often associated with energy, drive and motivation. This is part of the story. In ancient astrology, Mars is linked to combat and combat along with tension and inconsistency. Mars is associated with sharp cutting tools like swords and knives, so if Mars is active in timing, you can experience this type of cutting or cutting event. You may cut yourself or cut freely. Or you may find yourself in a fighting or tense standoff type situation.

Mars also leads to rage, feels full of rage and frustration, and is likely to be forced to act from the place, or such a prominent Martian aspect will be at work.

For Harry, Mars is particularly influential as it controls his Scorpio MC, so Mars that advanced in the Ascendant could also show an increased emphasis or prioritization of goals in career and life direction. Perhaps it’s a feeling of wanting to attack in a new direction.

The combination of these two progressions gives us a grip on the theme of ending and escape. Mars, which progressed in the Ascendant, can cut out the connection to the past, and perhaps wants to try something, and seek a Balsamic Moon phase, which is seeking closure.

Here, you have experiences of leaving your family business or sharing things you share with others.

I mentioned there are two transits to bring in.

The first is Jupiter in Capricorn, the ascendant. Usually, this is considered positive about growth and new adventures, and perhaps a new cycle begins. Ascendants are the most individual part of the chart, so emphasis on self over others is certainly a precursor.

However, given that Jupiter is falling into Capricorn and the Transit Jupiter is in the Ascendant while Mars ongoing is there, there is more to this transport than it first appears.

The second transit starts at Neptune in Pisces to Natal Mars in Sagittarius. This is the square side due to transits from May 2018 to February 2020.

If this is a client, I’ll admit that they respect the needs of different kinds of life, and that they may need a slow pace for a while, and that they may discuss where they will leave so that they can move towards who they want to be. Also, the currency, the advanced lunar phase is to let go of the old ones, and as they move into the ongoing new moon phase, they share that they have a direction towards planting new seeds for a new future. Harry’s ongoing new moon cycle began in July 2023.

Early 2020 was undoubtedly a kind of troubling combination of predictive elements where interruptions and tensions become part of the navigation of change. It could also lead to less productive and motivating people between the Neptune Square Mars (MC Ruler) of Transportation and the ongoing Balsamic Moon phase.

Here’s a quick look at some key timing factors that will affect Prince Harry in early 2020. If you want to learn more about progress forecasts, see us in class this June.

Thank you for joining us until next time, please be careful
