The 2nd decan of Virgo is an intense position for the September 2024 New Moon, and there seems to be no middle ground. Everything is either black or white, sinner or saint. Sado-masochistic tendencies here can be extreme, and pain, whether good or bad, becomes a central theme. Notable figures such as Madonna and the Marquis de Sade, who have this placement in their birth charts, exemplify these extremes. During this New Moon, we make the choice to embody a compassionate healer or a torturer, depending largely on our level of soul evolution and consciousness. Those who allow themselves to be rendered unconscious by substances such as drugs and alcohol make themselves vulnerable and leave an opening for dark forces that thrive on inflicting pain. However, those most touched by this New Moon, especially those who are normally critical of others, may have a hard time accepting criticism. You may feel the sting of being treated harshly in the same way this time, which makes this a time of vulnerability and introspection.
