Neptune into Aries: Historical Notes and Working with Your Chart

I just returned home after a great weekend learning more about the progress in Palm Springs and the timing for 2026.

What a gift it was to be together in person, learning, connecting, and growing.

Early on in my astrology journey, I recall that all learning took place in person, either in weekly classes, monthly meetings, or annual events such as conferences.

The absolute joy of being together, learning such rich content, digging deep, and then being able to share a meal together and have a few laughs at the end of the day was heavenly to visit again.

(The next time I meet in person is There will be an event in France in March. If you also want to learn and grow directly with us. )

Of course, one of the big topics that came up over the weekend was; Neptune enters Aries.

Historical Neptune in Aries

We looked at this cycle historically. There’s a lot more going on with Neptune in Aries than just war.

In fact, considering the world events of the past decade and a half, Neptune in Pisces has not been without war.

If you consider the charts of people born with Neptune in Aries, one of whom was Mohandas Mahatma Gandhi, who was an ardent supporter of non-violence, you will find that people born with Neptune in Aries actively campaigned against invasions and wars.

May this next cycle bring more activists and movements against aggressive behavior around the world.

Canada, Russia, USA

Students explored connections from Neptune in Aries to specific countries such as Canada, the United States, and Russia. One of the areas to focus on in the upcoming Neptune Aries cycle is the Arctic Circle, which includes the Northwest Passage, and who controls what in the far north.

With Neptune’s last transit in Aries, the United States “purchased” Alaska from Russia in the Alaska Purchase, and Canada became the nation it is today.

transportation, communication, movement

In previous Neptune in Aries cycles, daily newspapers began in England (1701-2) and the first cross-country East-West telegraph system was integrated in the United States in 1861 courtesy of Western Union.

London’s first underground railway opened in 1863, and the Suez Canal opened in 1869. This had a major impact on shipping and world trade, as it opened a direct route between Europe and Asia.

Therefore, Neptune in Aries has historically been linked to broader information sharing via print and telegraph, which were the latest technologies at the time. It also accelerates the movement of people and goods through transportation improvements and upgrades in logistics, transportation, and transportation.

It may be helpful to study past transit cycles to explore the various aspects that this next cycle may bring.

Neptune in Aries and you

That being said, I’m sure many of you are wondering how Neptune in Aries will affect you personally.

The most direct way is via a transit to a planet or angle in your chart.

If in the near future you have planets in the early cardinal stages, including Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn, this will be you.

This content is covered in many of my teachings on transits and timing. You can check it here and here. You might also like this free 11-minute video where I answer student questions about transportation.

A less specific, but still relevant way to utilize Neptune in Aries is through the topic of the Aries house in your chart.

There are so many big-picture trends and topics related to Neptune’s changes in Aries, as there are always times when a large, slow-moving planet changes signs.

If you have any questions, please let us know in the comments section. I will do my best to answer your questions in the future.

Your Pisces and Aries house

For now, please take a moment to consider your own chart. To identify topics in the house of Pisces, where Neptune has left, and topics in the house of Aries, where Neptune is still unpacking.

There are many keywords and concepts for Neptune, from the mysterious and troubling to the inspired and imaginative.

What do you notice when you start paying attention to the Pisces part of your chart and life without the influence of Neptune (for the first time since 2011!)? What do you feel is different? Do you prefer without Neptune here, or does it feel like something is missing?

Next, try to focus your attention on the Aries topics that are part of your chart and life.

Are you imagining wild new possibilities? Are you emotionally or energetically more sensitive to things related to this area of your life? Are you missing something here or being overly hopeful and idealistic?

I also wanted to share some self-reflection questions from the book Astrology Alive by Barabar Sharma that may be helpful as you align with Neptune.

  • What part of my life do you think I’m not seeing clearly?
  • Do I have any fantasies about my life or anyone involved in my life right now?
  • Is there something I’m into? Will this affect my life or the lives of others?

Neptune can be messy, confusing, and foggy at times, but slowing down and feeling your way forward can help add soulfulness and a more sustainable way of living to your world.

May Neptune in Aries inspire us all to act out of compassion and alleviate the suffering of those we encounter.

in my webinar Neptune in AriesLearn more about this vital cycle, including how to break down long timelines into unique, short segments.
