Mid-2025 will bring some significant changes as major planets like Saturn, Neptune, and Uranus begin to change signs.
Today I want to talk a little bit about Uranus in Gemini, looking at the past cycle of Uranus in Gemini transits and giving you some tips on how to deal with this transit in your own chart.
Uranus will enter Gemini on July 7, 2025. On November 8, 2025, Uranus will return to Taurus for its final transit. On April 26, 2026, Uranus will settle in Gemini where it will remain for six years until August 2032 when it will begin to move out of Gemini and into Cancer.
With Neptune and Uranus both changing signs in 2025/2026, the second half of this decade will look and feel quite different from the first.
Mercury and Gemini topics are in flux
In Gemini, Uranus will bring disruptive and creative energy regarding many of Mercury’s topics, including education, issues relating to children, and of course technological devices and communication patterns of all kinds.
Mercury also relates to business and trade, two areas that are likely to see big changes during this period.
Uranus in a Mercury-ruled sign gives off an innovator and inventor vibe, and may bring about new technologies, especially regarding transportation, travel, and commercial matters of all kinds.
Gemini is a humane sign and, like the other air signs, represents humanity. A major transit through Gemini indicates change for the collective.
Uranus in Gemini will be a time of flux. Systems and social structures will go through periods of chaos as they try to keep up with the rapidly changing nature of society and the needs of modern people. Borders and boundaries will change as people migrate and move around and our ways of life evolve.
Like all mutable signs, Gemini is known for its changeable nature — you’re interested in many things and always wanting to jump from one to the next. When you add in the boundary-pushing nature of Uranus, this conjunction of Uranus in Gemini can be a busy, hectic time when rebellion and revolution — ideas about how to do things differently and why they should be — spread quickly and become widespread.
There will be restlessness in the air as Uranus travels through Gemini from 2025 to 2033. There will be shifts in how you think about life, what’s important, and how you work together and organize as a group.
And as alliances shift, there is a good chance of disruption. New desires for freedom may push back against existing systems and coalitions. Current alliances may break down and new groups and organizations may form.

For each period mentioned, I have included the number of years from when Uranus first entered Gemini to when Uranus last left Gemini. The beginning and end of each period usually includes a time when Uranus retrogrades into and out of Taurus (the beginning) or Cancer (the end).
As a simple recent example of changing borders and boundaries, look at how the borders of European countries changed after World War II.
Uranus in Gemini and America
Gemini is an important constellation for America. US Sibley Chart Sagittarius is rising and Gemini is at a prominent angle to the descent.
Two recent Uranus transits through Gemini include America’s involvement in World War II (1941-1945) and the US Civil War (1861-1865).
The transit of Uranus in Gemini from 1774 to 1782 includes the American War of Independence, which means that US birth charts also contain Uranus in Gemini very close to the descending degree.
Considering some of these past events, one might imagine that the upcoming Uranus transit through Gemini will be a time of rapid change and upheaval in society and in how we organize ourselves as groups, communities and nations.
The longer Air Age cycle that began with the Jupiter Saturn conjunction aspect in 2020 is already known to be a historical period of shifting power structures, shifting loyalties, and decentralization of existing centers of power and finance.
This “fluid” nature of the Air Age will become even stronger as more movement and change occurs, likely during the 8 years of Uranus in Gemini. For more details on this Air Age shift, please watch my previous keynote at NORWAC 2019.

4 Tips on How to Handle Uranus Transits
Many of you who have planets in any of the four fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) have probably experienced a Uranus transit and are experts at dealing with Uranus by now. Uranus in Taurus Most intensely. Uranus was in Taurus in May 2018. If you were, feel free to post your tips for making the most of the Uranus transit in the comments section below.
Having experienced my fair share of Uranus transits myself, and had a front row seat to the Uranus transit experiences of hundreds of my clients, here is what I would suggest:
Pay attention to restlessness
One of the earliest signs that Uranus may be affecting you is a growing sense of restlessness — constantly thinking about and questioning what you want, and remaining curious that a different way of life might be more interesting and exciting.
As the Uranus transit progresses, it’s common to feel bored with the way things are – in your job, your relationships, where you live, your family, and many other topics.
Feelings of boredom, of restlessness in what once felt comfortable or safe, are a signal that you’re ready for something new. You may not yet know what that something new or different is, but it’s time to start exploring your options.
Get used to doing things differently
One piece of advice I heard years ago that I still share with my clients and remind myself of is to choose to turn your life upside down a little: change up your route for work or a walk, shake up your usual routine: eat breakfast instead of dinner, work odd hours, carry your bag on a different shoulder, wear your watch on the other wrist.
Basically, you change up your daily or weekly schedule or alter your habits so that you’re no longer subconsciously following established patterns.
These lyrics are “Big things come from small things” As you begin to get used to small changes and differences, it reminds you that you will be more open to bigger changes. Also, looking at your everyday environment with new eyes will help you notice things you never noticed before.
Consequently, this helps to stimulate new thoughts and ideas, which is ultimately what Uranus transiting Gemini is all about – helping you ask new questions that will lead you in new, more exciting and interesting directions.
Embrace your true self
Uranus signifies freedom, and during a Uranus transit you may find yourself longing for the space and freedom to learn more about your true core self and be true to yourself in more areas of your life.
Uranus isn’t interested in fitting in, social approval, or safe, predictable behavior, so one of the gifts of a Uranus transit is the ability to embrace who you are.
This may mean that you speak up about your true interests and aspirations. You may surprise those around you. It’s a sign that you are on your authentic path during a Uranus transit. Understanding how you have adapted, suppressed, or modified your personality to fit in and giving yourself permission to break those habits is an essential part of dealing with a Uranus transit.
Get interested in your own little rebellion
After all, Uranus wants to breathe new life and energy into areas of your life that have become boring, stagnant, or too safe and familiar. If you could wave a magic wand and make one big change in your life, what would it be? How would things look?
You don’t need to know how things will change or come together. All you need to do is focus on what you want to change. Don’t get too attached to how things will turn out. Instead, focus on the things you don’t like and wish were different, the things you wish were different but are missing. And above all, focus on the emotions you want to experience and the ideas you want to explore.
With the intense transit of Uranus, anything can happen. While you may still be surprised by specifics, it’s a great time to identify things you want to change. Be open to ideas to make choices that will set you apart from others. Respecting yourself means standing out. If you want, Uranus can help you create the changes that lead to new freedom as you launch a small rebellion to remake your life around your true essence.
