Eyes in the Sky: Lumpur Eclipse on September 7th
On September 7th, 2025, you will experience the longest lunar eclipse since 2022. The whole thing can be seen from Australia, Asia, Africa and Europe. This means that around 85% of the world’s population has the chance to witness this solar eclipse.

In Vedic tradition, solar eclipses are not considered auspicious to be seen in visible areas. Instead, I recommend spending time meditating. North America almost misses this solar eclipse except that western Alaska appears.

The influence of astrology
This solar eclipse occurs at 20°54′ Aquarius and will strongly affect those rising Aquarius or Leo, especially when the major planets (Sun, Moon, Rough, Ketu, or Ascendant) are located near 20-22° of Aquarius or Leo.
The impact is especially important if you run the ages of the Moon/Raf, Raf/Moon, Sun/Raf, or Raf/Sun in your Veda cycle. Many people fear solar eclipses, but they can be exceptional spiritual gateways for meditation and personal revelation.
The spiritual dimension of the solar eclipse
Eclipses are perfect for silence, mantra chanting, and meditation. Meditation tends to deepen in these times. However, it is not a good time to make important decisions, as emotions and mind can become unstable.
From my own experience, seeing a lunar eclipse can cause irrational fears and strange thoughts. Golden Rules: Don’t act on them. Instead, observe, meditate and reflect later.
Both of my masters emphasize meditation during the solar eclipse. One of them explained:
“The mind is connected to the moon, the body with the earth, and the sun with both. When all three are in place, it is a powerful period for spiritual practices. It is not a good time to eat or enjoy joy. It saves energy. Since ancient times, it has not been said to eat or meditate while eating.
Practical guidance
- Stop eating 1-2 hours before the solar eclipse so that your stomach is empty.
- Do not eat food cooked during the solar eclipse. Avoid takeout prepared during the Eclipse window.
- Mantra chanting and meditation are the most auspicious. Reciting the mantra 108 times during a solar eclipse can equal 10,000 repetitions at other times.
- Use time to observe subconscious patterns that may surface. While many ideas become mental “trash”, some insights are profound and may be worth integrating afterwards.
Wideer theme
The solar eclipse falls into the Aquarius Leo axis, highlighting the potential tension between the group and its leaders. Hopefully hidden truths, scandals and plots will be revealed.
The lunar eclipse will have an impact after at least two weeks, but the long-term effects will be reduced.
Final Thoughts
Most people in the Americas can observe solar eclipses, but they may feel the effects from the morning to midnight in the afternoon. Ideally, keeping your plan simple. Keep it simple and light if you have to eat it.
Remember: The mixed chaos of thoughts during a solar eclipse is Maya (illusion). The real gift of a solar eclipse is an opportunity to access deeper awareness and healing through spiritual practice.
