Mars enters Pisces on April 2nd and will remain there until May 11th. Normally I would welcome this layover. Pisces is ruled by Mars’ friend Jupiter, and Pisces’ calm, spiritual energy tends to temper Mars’ hot-tempered nature. But this year, Mars is stepping into a crowded room, and his friends are fierce.
Saturn is already located between 12 and 14 degrees Pisces. Mars will be conjunct Saturn on April 20th at exactly about 13.5 degrees and will be in the center of the Uttarabhadrapada Nakshatra ruled by Saturn itself. When Mars meets Saturn, the Warrior encounters the Taskmaster. Saturn is telling you to slow down. Mars says charging forward. The friction between the two creates frustration, energy blocks, and the feeling that no matter how hard you try, the world is pushing back against you.
Mercury then joins the party. On April 11th, Mercury enters Pisces, a sign of debilitation. Mercury in Pisces means our sharp, analytical minds get lost in fog, intuition, and confusion. The challenge deepens as Mars and Mercury are archenemies in Vedic astrology. When these two travel together, the conflict between action and thought becomes almost unbearable. Mercury will conjunct Mars exactly around April 21st. From about April 14th to about April 26th, Mars, Saturn, and Mercury will all be within a few degrees of each other in Pisces. It’s a lot of contradictory energies compressed into one constellation.
Rahu, on the other hand, is stable at 13 degrees Aquarius in the Shatabishak Nakshatra, spinning his usual web of anxiety from right next door. Saturn and Rahu together always creates mental anxiety, but you may feel it more than usual this month.
I’ve been through times like this myself, and I hear the same thing when I talk to friends and clients. It means you are in more pain than the situation warrants. People feel stuck, anxious, and overwhelmed. Health problems emerge. Economic pressures seem to come from everywhere.
What I want you to understand here is: A big part of this is the planets doing their job. Saturn creates an emotional and psychological fog that troubles us, but doesn’t necessarily manifest as physical problems. It starts in our heads. eckhart tolle power now It reminds us that 99% of the fears that appear in our minds are illusions and will never actually come true. We need to take a step back from our spiritual practices and realize that Saturn is leaving again, creating unnecessary fear.
The trick this month is to ignore the subconscious anxieties buzzing in the background and let Mars give you courage. Mars in Pisces has Jupiter’s calming, caring influence, despite its difficulties. The Uttarabhadrapada constellation is associated with the wise old man, the crown chakra, and the pinnacle of spiritual knowledge. The water is deep here, but there is treasure at the bottom.
I have good news. Venus enters its own sign of Taurus around April 20th and Jupiter remains strong in Punarvasu Nakshatra. If we dig deep, we find that there is an underlying core of happiness that we must hold on to. It’s there. Jupiter and Venus somehow soften some turbulent situations. We have to tap into that core and not accept the mental worries that Saturn and Rahu keep spinning.
Things to do this month:
Reach out and find beauty and wonder in the little things. Flowers that bloom when you take a walk in nature. The innocence of a small child, reminding us of simple play and joy. The love of family and friends. The mystical magic of your spiritual practice.
Meditation is the most powerful tool at this time. If we do not turn back and find the lightness of our existence, we will become trapped in Saturn’s complaints and complaints. Exercise is essential to move the irritation of Mars and Saturn throughout the body. Yoga, walking, and other physical exercises can be very helpful.
Handle important communications and decisions in the morning, when Mercury’s debilitating fog is at its lightest. Avoid making big purchases or signing contracts from April 17th to 23rd, when all three planets are within a few degrees of each other. Be patient with misunderstandings. When Mercury and Mars come together, it becomes easy to say the wrong thing at the wrong time.
That’s what will happen. If you don’t find and rely on moments of love and lightness, you’ll be doomed to complain and eat away at your heart. Find the sweetness of Venus, trust God, and step into grace.
We are always given choices. Do we get caught up in the fear of being sent over a cliff, or do we turn to God and focus on all the good that is happening at the same time? I know what choice I’m making.
Saturn rarely whispers. In my Saturn Secrets course, we’ll look at exactly how to work with that energy instead of being overwhelmed by it. On sale now for $149: applyvedicastrology.com/product/the-secrets-of-saturn-mastering-the-energies-for-growth-and-transformation/
