Fashion fans have Paris, while watch lovers have Geneva. As the epicenter of the watchmaking industry, Switzerland plays the annual host Clocks and wonders The event was fortunate this year. The world’s most prestigious brands were on hand to showcase their latest works, including Rolex, Cartier, Bvlgari, Chopard, Piaget, Tag Heuer, Chanel, Hermes, IWC and more. My mission? Try as many watches as possible as humanly possible and report my findings to What What Wear Readers. First, I put together Instagram reels showing my top 5 favorite watchesand now I’m breaking down the recurring trends I discovered at the event.
I was far from the only person who roamed the sacred halls of the event in 2025. Over the course of seven days, the clock and wonder welcomed a total of over 55,000 visitors, up 12% from last year. “Watches and Wonders have established not only as known professional events, but also as platforms for the representation of watchmaking Masons,” said Cyril Vigneron, president of the Geneva Foundation of Watches and Wonders.
I was excited to see a new release through the lens of a fashion person, with a large focus (not perfect) on women’s watches and in contrast to watch experts with knowledge of industry encyclopedias. Even if you don’t know about tour billons from the tachymeter, the wild world of watches has a place for you. Read on to learn about my favorite watch trends from Watches and Wonders in the 2025 edition.

Certainly, a watch with a white dial and a black leather strap never falls out of style, but if you’re ready to broaden your horizons, can you suggest a rather pastel version? Many of the biggest brands in Watches and Wonders’ 2025 edition presented their works in shades of lavender, mint, baby pink and sky blue. Chopard and Frotto went monochrome using the same colours on both the dial and strap, while Tagheir and Rolex contrasted the ingenious pastel dials with a sophisticated steel bracelet.

A day before the clock and wonder began, Roger Federer posted a seemingly harmless carousel of Instagram photos. However, when I saw the fanatics, I quickly realized the importance of one photo: it was provided The first look at Rolex’s new land residentswith a honeycomb dial. Other brands that featured the patterned dial this year included Grand Seico, Chopard, Cartier, Zenith and IWC. One particularly impressive piece was Bulgari’s new serpentine etana, made with a diamond-paved arrowhead dial.

The expert skier will miss the piste and the watch buff will fall off the writing. Hermes has unveiled a spectacular, innovative watch that can be worn either as a brooch or a pendant necklace. Piaget and Chanel also exhibited watch necklaces, the latter taking it a step further by hiding miniature dials above the gold ring.
