Labor Day weekends often mark the peak of Charleston summer, but we met with unexpected glorious graces, a few days of cool, humid mornings and evenings. It felt like a tip for autumn and the timing could not have been better. The last quarter of the year always seems to be constantly moving fastest, especially with the pace of work being welcomed on the fall and holidays. Three collaborations will begin by the end of the year, with many collaborations behind the scenes. This is a peek at the future of this month…

What we do

  • Several trips are planned this month, with a mix of work and celebrations. A short weekend break for a friend’s birthday followed by a business trip to Connecticut and New York. It’s busy, but it’s been energizing for a few weeks.
  • In New York, we are staying Fifth Avenue Hotel,first time. The room looks beautiful and I would like to know how it will continue to live. I’ll report it.
  • Later this month, we head to Chicago to meet Summer and her team to complete our kitchen design and closet/dressing room plans. I’m counting down the days.
  • I’m filming this week’s kitchen and bar tour. trade off. If you haven’t subscribed yet, there’s a lot of great video content out there right now.
  • One of our collaborations starts in the middle of the month, with the second being on the brand. Are you curious if you can guess who it is? The pieces will be beautiful and I can’t wait to share them with you.

  • I couldn’t resist these Chartreuse/Orchers Leather pants.
  • This fragrant dries the Van Note’s refill perfume.

What I’m seeing

  • I always look at gems. It’s one of my greatest loves. Now I’m stuck with some Lucy Delius’ works. Here’s what I have on my wish list: this Ruby pendantthese Stirring earringsand these Ruby ear cuff.

  • Mary Nelson Sinclair’s new Mixed bouquet the work.
