June marks the shift – at the end of school, the bags begin to fill up and the first stretch of summer begins. There is a familiar mix of airborne expectations and mixed chaos. Tie loose edges at home, organized for travel, navigate duplications of work and downtime. We rely on everything and prepare for our much-anticipated trip, closing out our meaningful behind-the-scenes work.

What we do

  • School is out and we are heading for our first adventure of the season, a summer trip to Greece. We are a little over three weeks away, each with a villa, staying on three islands, Paros, Mykonos and Spets, and ending our trip Amanzoa destination we’ve been wanting to experience for years.
  • There are a lot of movements before you leave. We’re completing the final piece of our new JB website. This has been going quietly for several months and finally comes together in just the right way.
  • Thomas and I are also investing in new companies that we believe have a real purpose and potential. At the same time, we are beginning to develop some early stage high-tech projects. One is to support how I work on a daily basis.
  • I haven’t been watching much TV this year (I usually read and I’m in bed early), but I recently started siren On Netflix, it’s surprisingly good. It’s light and a little quirky – enough to keep looking at me without pulling me.
  • Another thing that fills my days: packaging. Lots of packaging. Already some pieces in my suitcase:
    This tassel terry set (top)
    This tassel terry set (shorts)
    This turquoise bikini
    These dinosaur design bracelets
    Pucci’s favorites:
    Halter Top
    mini skirt
    one piece
    Emporio Sirenuse Pieces:
    top
    pants
  • For the girls, I packed:
    Blue and white flower dress
    Crochet trim white trousers
    Smocked rainboardless
    Sweet blue dress
    Turquoise dress
  • Hosting jewelry designers Ariel Ratner This week at Charleston, it was born when we were working together on custom pieces. Her work is thoughtful and sculptural, but still wearable for everyday use.
  • I’ve ordered it Sakara To simplify your meals during this stretch before traveling. It feels like a quiet luxury even when placed in the fridge, especially on full-crowd days. Please use my code Julia Busakara 20% off.

What I’m wearing

  • I wear this set workout set repeatedly. I was very consistent with my workout – 5-6 times a week, at this point, I always wash and take it again, so I need to order a different set:
    Set the top
    Set the bottom
  • I’ll bring me Blue and white Valentino tote For Greece – it will be my bag all summer. I also love it This similar Cezan version That’s under $200.
  • Some other works I recently received:
White tie front top Planning to styling with simple linen pants this summer
these Le Monde Beryl Wedge Mules What I’ve been wearing here recently: 5.30 and 5.29
    sunglasses I’m always asked.
Attersee shirt – I’ve searched for the right ivory button down for months and this is really perfect
