Usually, when I pack my bags for beach days or festivals, I reach for one of my most beloved (read: abused) totes. This does not flinch new dirt and does not feel guilty if it is gently deformed. Worldwide, we don’t consider bringing designer bags with price tags that hover the £5,000 mark. But I seem to be in the minority.
The latest reliance on style sets for all kinds of outings is nothing more than the Chanel 25 handbag. Having pulled out trendy totes for a day of dance, Charli XCX created an incredibly powerful case of the Chanel 25 as a festival staple at Coachella Stint earlier this year. “Festival-friendly” and “Chanel” are not words I naturally stitch together, but the slouching silhouette, with a lot of 25 pockets, has the utilitarian energy that makes you see it work in some way.

And it doesn’t just show up at festivals. I’ve now found this unexpected practical tote during a stint on some of the chicest beaches. With multiple exterior pockets and a spacious interior that fits comfortably into all the seaside non-negotiation capabilities, it’s not entirely shocking that this tote is finding its way to the coast.

But what’s surprising is how quickly it becomes a staple every day. Debuting at Chanel’s Spring/Summer show in Paris, where the newly released tote tote is a bit more relaxed back than Chanel’s more structured classics, the Chanel 25 speaks to the current heights of energy.

What is the price? The medium design costs around 5,000 pounds, while the smaller version sounds at 4,560 pounds. There are large prices on request, and we see the design touching under some of the more formal sisters.
