It’s already been months since we predicted that Spring 2026’s shoe trends would be the hottest, and our runway predictions are never far away, but the overall look for spring is starting to take shape, which means it’s time to take a fresh look at the season’s top shoes, and what’s actually resonating IRL.
The runways of Chanel, Prada, Fendi and more gave us our first glimpses of the season’s defining shoes, but the fashion world has already styled many of the early favorites with spring looks, so in the end we can confidently say that the following seven styles are the clear tops right now.
Top shoe trends for spring 2026:
1. High Vamp
The chicest shoe you can choose in 2026 is the high vamp. Whether worn with flats or pumps, the silhouette brings a cool, modern vibe to everything from classic jeans to cocktail dresses.

2. Cap toe shoes
Two-tone shoes have been around for many years. Matthieu Blazy’s modern take on Chanel for spring has made it both timeless and rapidly gaining popularity.

4. Ruched loafers
Indeed, loafers have become a “trend”. That’s obvious, isn’t it? But more specifically, there’s one detail that sets the coolest loafers apart from the rest. It’s the ruched seams that give the timeless shoe a positive vibe.
5. Embossed eel
Suede may have started it all, but this season the chicest loafers, flats, Sandals.

6. Closed toe wedge
I’m just as surprised as you, but it’s becoming clear that wedges will once again be the top shoe choice in 2026. Fashion insiders are gravitating toward closed-toe edges rather than the chunky shoes of yesteryear. A very sophisticated and modern mule.
7. Almond toe shape
It’s not pointy, but it’s not completely round either. Instead, almond-toed shoes occupy a middle-of-the-road category that we didn’t know we needed in our closets. With a retro appeal, almond-toe flats and kitten-heel pumps are a surefire way to look sophisticated this spring.
