August Events
This August Ima is excited to share a free month free event as part of the summer at Imma. On August 2nd, two talented traveler storytellers Chrissie Donoghue Ward and Owenie Ward will realize the magic of traveler folktales. This event Canvas, campfires, culture, Running with Leanne McDonagh’s series Why the moon moves Now on the show IMMA Collection: Art as an agency. This is a free event, everything is welcome.
Please participate in the special on August 30th Celebrations to mark the harvest of Model plot Horticultural students from the Roy Society of Ireland, Inchicore College and Artist Deirdre O’Mahony will dig into potato crops grown in 2025. We are also pleased to announce that the program is live for now. Earth Rising Festival will be held from September 12th to 14th Earth Rising is a vibrant festival of art, ecology and ideas. This is to invite people to engage in the big issues of our time through the lens of art, creativity and community.. Check out the complete program here.

Get creative this summer with a hands-on workshop at Imma! Highlights for August include a tie-dyeing workshop using traditional Japanese techniques, gin manufacturing sessions and an oak gal ink making workshop. Explore species sovereignty through art, take part in poetry reading and drawing sessions, or take part in workshops to design productive urban spaces. Activities run throughout the week at all ages are the perfect time to dive into something new. A reservation is required for the selected workshop.
