Sergio Hudson celebrated its 10th anniversary by presenting its Fall/Winter 2026 collection at the New York Public Library, with a focus on exploring tailored stretch suiting, American sportswear, and sculptural silhouettes. This commemorative show draws inspiration from the greatness of legendary black opera singers such as Leontyne Price and the commanding stage presence of Aretha Franklin, channeling that sense of drama into a collection defined by elevated femininity and precision.

Texture supported the lineup. Mohair, cashmere, suede, embossed croc and snakeskin embossed leather elevated classic tailoring, while silk charmeuse evening skirts, jeweled bustiers and black column gowns finished with cascading tulle brought softness and movement.

Hudson’s signature structure remained, but the materials added depth and dimension.

This season showed signs of evolution. Sculptural floral appliqués, plunging décolletages, and sharply tailored figure-shaping trousers demonstrate a sophisticated approach to proportion and construction. Unexpected color combinations of mustard, teal, and electric blue sequins offset by bright pink added contrast and clarity while enhancing the authenticity of the collection.

Ten years later, Hudson continues to refine his aesthetic while expanding his visual language. The Fall/Winter 2026 collection reflects both discipline and growth, highlighting his commitment to structure, glamor, and longevity.
