Christian Cowan brought romance between him new york fashion week Presentation for Fall/Winter 2026, his designs were captivating and intriguing.
Titled, “before the door opens,” His collection was unapologetically bold, with bold silhouettes, plunging necklines, and clever play with sheer fabrics.
“I’ve always been fascinated by the moment before you walk out the door,” said Christian Cowan.There’s something powerful about the private ritual of sitting alone in front of a mirror and deciding who you’re going to become. This season I wanted to expose that process and make it a spectacle in itself. ”
As models breezed down the runway, attendees were awed by the 1950s textiles, antique lace trim, and traditional corset techniques.
In addition to rethinking traditional techniques, he used mesh, sheer, and lace to partially expose the body and the clothing underneath, giving attendees an idea of the future of fashion.
From lingerie-inspired garments to statement silhouettes and accessories like koffi hats and necklaces that wrap around the models’ necks and shoulders, Christian Cowan is intentional about creating progressive and thought-provoking collections.
