Rihanna’s Winter Berry Lip Combo Is Perfect for Date Night

If you were to ask me in an internet poll what the best lip color is for date night, I’m sure there would be one overwhelming, overwhelming answer. It’s “red”. Understood! It’s classic. Taylor Swift thinks so too. But Rihanna, the eternal cool girl, insisted on something even darker and richer.

Recently, the singer, brand founder, and fashion and beauty icon stepped out in New York for a date night with her longtime partner, A$AP Rocky. She sported her signature chic outfits, shiny hair, and bold makeup. As a beauty editor, I was most interested in the latter. Thick eyelashes! Shining skin! Bright and pop blush! And a rich reddish-purple lip combination that I have named “Winter Berry.” This has officially become my blueprint for how to create a cool mid-winter date night look. Trace’d Out Longwear Waterproof Pencil Lip Liner (Whiskey)

Next, I applied Fenty Beauty’s Gloss Bomb Stix in Black Berry. This is a deep, juicy berry. These gloss bomb stixes offer the pigment of a lipstick and the high-shine finish of a gloss. It also contains vitamin E, shea butter, and squalane for a lip balm-like effect.
