Plus size fashion influencer spotlight shines on Brianna Ouus

Hello Brianna! Tell us about your journey as a plus-size fashion influencer/content creator to get you started. How did you get started?

I began my journey as a content creator through Fashion on 360, a platform that started as a blog and expanded to podcasts and radio shows. What began as a passion project quickly became a space where faith, fashion and storytelling could be combined. From walking the runway to producing behind the scenes, I have created a presence that reflects both the charm and grit of being a plus-size black woman in the fashion industry.

About seven years ago, I launched a statement jewelry and beauty brand. This is rooted in the highly disparity we experienced as a model that is not visible in traditional spaces. Creating content has become a form of personal expression for me as a self-proclaimed introvert, but it was also a tool to help other women find their voices and confidence.

Today I will continue that mission through intentional content, empowering women’s meetups and bringing style, substance and sisterhood.

Have you ever noticed that your content is affecting you? Please tell me about that.

There was a moment at one of my early networking events that really stuck to me. A young woman pulled me aside and said, “I wasn’t going to come, but I saw your post and felt like someone like me belonged to a room like this.” She shared my body, my voice, my transparency – how she saw my content and how she saw the feelings she saw in ways she hadn’t had before.

That moment reminded me that impacts don’t always show up in numbers or likes. Sometimes it’s in a quiet DMS, a conversation after an event, or a way to stand a little taller as someone saw themselves in your story. That’s when you realize that your content is about affiliation, not just beauty and branding.

Since then I have been able to help other plus size women, the 9-to-5 experts, and women who have lost the spark by pouring on everyone else. My annual Galentine Day event will become a sacred space where women appear, with powerful bosses connected, yes, and always with some tears. That’s beautiful. Seeing these women rediscover their confidence.

@brieanao Two events. One Saturday. All the atmosphere. From parynist to panelists to block parties – your favorite plus size buddies are booked at Lehigh Valley and busy! Catch fit, fun and soft power. 💅🏾🎤🖤 #PlussizeCreator #contentcrusade #afrobeatsblockparty #bookedandcurvy #AllentownStyle #fashionandvibes ♬ Like this – Ray

What motivates you or motivates you to continue creating and displaying online?

What drives me to continue to create online is the memories of my 5-year-old daughter and my late mother, and my late mother, who died in 2021 after a brave battle with Lupus. My mother was my biggest supporter. She followed me to all the events, symposiums and conferences. It encouraged me and reminded me that my voice was important.

Now I can see the same spark in my daughter. She finds her creative itch, imitates my work in the most beautiful ways, and is very proud of me. I will show up for both of them. For the woman who believed in me before the world, and for the girl who now sees me. They are the wind under my wings and my reason.

How do you describe your personal style in 3-5 words?

Sleek, sexy, fashion front.

Who has influenced your personal style the most?

I am most influenced by women, especially women of size. They style trends with their talents, appearing unappreciatively, reminding the world that fashion has no size limits. They move a little away from imagination, but do not see the gates to the jewels that help the next woman feel confident.

One of my biggest inspirations is Sarah Jakes Roberts. Although not plus size, the way she carries herself with grace, edge, and divine confidence speaks to women of all forms. She is completely embraced by her identity. And such forces are contagious.

I’m also deeply inspired by the pioneers of plus size fashion like Gabi Greg, who made space for bodies like me in mainstream fashion. Her bold and fearless approach to style helped to change the story, showing that plus-size fashion is sexy, high and innovative. Women like her have made it easier for creators like me to take up space stylishly and apocalypically.

Because for me, true style is not about size. It’s about existence. It’s about stepping into the room and owning every inch of your story, and your silhouette.

Do you use the platform to challenge beauty standards or move the conversation forward with plus-size fashion?

I use my platform to challenge beauty standards simply by displaying what is inside my body, consistently and completely. As a plus-size black woman, my presence in fashion and the media is already a statement, but I am even further moving forward by curating content that focuses on the grandeur, softness and self-confidence of a larger body. From curated costume breakdowns to red carpet hosting, plus-sized women don’t need to scale back.

Through events like the beauty of Bella & Co and my annual Garentine Day experience, I have created a space for women to feel beautiful, powerful and valuable. I raise 9-5 mothers and women who have forgotten what it’s like to pour themselves. My content redefines how beauty looks in fashion, media and real life, while celebrating it as is, rather than “fixing” your body.

To move the conversation forward means being an example, sharing behind the scenes and mentoring other plus-sized women who want to take up space in style and substance.

What do you hope more brands and people understand about plus-size fashion and plus-size consumers?

Spending money! Does this story about plus size clothing cost more money for the price? make! I never skimp my work. The quality is not taken lightly.

What is the one style hack that all plus sizers should know?

Shapewear is not your enemy.

It’s not about hiding your body. It is a feeling of honoring your silhouette and being supported by the pieces you love. The right shapewear can enhance your fit, increase your confidence and help you step into a room that looks like it was built for you. It’s not a requirement, but it’s a tool and powerful when used in your terms.

Layer it under a bodycon dress and if you want a smooth base for your favorite jumpsuit, don’t be afraid to explore something that will make you feel good. Style is by no means about restrictions. It must be about choice.

Are there any styling tips to boost your confidence right away?

Bold accessories and good posture change everything.

Whether it’s a statement earring, a gorgeous bag, or a lip of colour, intentional ones always enhance the look. But confidence lives in your attitude. Even if you had to talk in the mirror five minutes before, you’ll still walk back your shoulders, chin up and walk like you own the room. Style is what you wear. Confidence is how you wear it.

What is your biggest personal style pet peeve?

Crocodiles are not shoes. But I love you.

Are there any specific items, brands, or trends you find unstoppable? Please tell me the reason!

Anything on my statement line, Bella & Co Beauty makes me feel unstoppable. Whether it’s a bold pair of earrings or a gorgeous beauty piece, every item is purposefully designed for women who want to see, style and feel unforgettable.

I didn’t see enough pieces that spoke to the power and elegance of a plus-sized woman, so I created this line. When I’m wearing Bella & Co, I’m not just an accessory, I embody confidence, culture, and the energy of the protagonist. It reminds us that beauty should never be reduced to fit the mold. It should shine in its own lane.

How do you define influence?

That you are the person you say – especially when no one is around to see it.

What are your exciting projects, brand collaborations, or what are your goals?

Listen – I want to be your luxury and be the best in your head! Get ready to get tired of me right away (in the best way). It reveals dream collaborations with brands such as Eloquii and Shea Moisure.

This summer I’m hosting a series of women’s networking events that create spaces for connection, confidence and community. And of course, I already plan ahead for the 2026 signature Galentin experience, with vibes, women of great powers and tears of healing always appearing on time.

We are expanding Bella & Co Beauty with intention. I’m preparing a bold new campaign focusing on daily luxury. This films a statement that boosts the confidence of women in motion. Think of moments of height beauty that reminds you that soft glams, distinctive earrings, and gorgeousness isn’t just a look, but a lifestyle. Our goal is to secure more retail partnerships, build a consistent content strategy and position national press and boutique pop-up brands in 2025 and 2026.

Only big energy – from product to presence.

As a plus-size fashion influencer, Do you want your followers to leave with you after your followers have visited your page?

Stop numbers from hindering you.

Whether it’s the number of sizes, followers, likes, or sales, it doesn’t define your value or purpose. You are equipped and designed for this. You are called. You are qualified. And you don’t need permission to walk completely in your light.

So after visiting my page, I hope you will feel as if you are seen, empowered and reminded you of who you are. Now, great, baby. The world was waiting for you.
