When we talk about the power of plus-size influencers, we’re talking about a movement. The digital revolution has reshaped the fashion world, forcing brands to look, wake up and scale. Today we will shine a spotlight on positive influencers. Jesse Coulter Price is sure to be a fun read today!

Influencers haven’t just entered the fashion field. They kicked open the door with crop tops and confidence. According to industry data, 67% of US women wear a size 14 or largerexpression in the high fashion space has historically lagged behind. Vogue Business reported that for the spring/summer 2025 fashion season, only 0.8% of runway looks were worn by plus-size models. Traditional fashion media has long reflected similar disparities.

This disconnect is why plus-size creators are so important. Social media has given plus-size women a direct platform to build their own platforms, communities, and visibility instead of waiting for permission. Today, plus-size influencers are some of the most engaged and trusted voices in fashion and lifestyle content, driving real cultural and commercial impact.

This community is not a trend. It’s a cultural change.

Welcome to The Curvy Fashionista’s Plus Influencer Spotlight. We celebrate visionaries who define confidence, creativity and culture through style. In our last feature, we focused on Chicago’s pioneers. fat girls in fashionwhose voice amplifies the power of visibility.

This week, we head to Long Beach, California to meet Jesse Coulter Price, known on social as @jessiecoalterprice, a creator whose energy radiates joy and self-acceptance and who reminds us that confidence doesn’t wait for permission.

From Disneybounder to Digital Confidence Coach

Jesse’s journey into content creation began in the world of storytelling and imagination. “I actually started out as a Disneybounder making costumes inspired by Disney characters,” she recalls. “It was such a fun way to express myself, connect with others who share the same love of creativity, and explore fashion through a playful lens.”

What started as themed costumes quickly evolved into something deeper. Jesse’s passion for creativity and community has grown into a digital space where authenticity is paramount. “Now, I use my platform to share everyday style, body confidence, and an honest look at life as a plus-size creator,” she explains. “My goal is to help others feel seen, capable, and beautiful… exactly as they are, not as they have changed.”

Jesse Coulter-Price’s feed is full of color, ease, and confidence, but it’s her message that resonates most. “Confidence isn’t about fitting into a mold. It’s about taking up space, finding joy, and embracing yourself in all its colors.”

When one post changed everything

For years, Jesse posted from the heart, even when traction was slow. And one moment changed her connection with her audience.

“Just about a month ago, I shared a post that went viral,” she says. “It was one of those rare moments when something deeply personal connected with thousands of people at once. My inbox was full of messages from people who related to my experience and thanked me for telling them what they had always felt but couldn’t put into words.”

It was a moment when she reaffirmed her reason for creating. “There were definitely times when I wanted to quit,” Jesse admits. “But when that post went viral, it wasn’t about numbers or reach. It was proof that my words and presence were helping others feel noticed. That’s when I knew I was truly making an impact.”

A style of freedom

What is Jesse’s personal aesthetic? “Soft-bodied villain energy, colorful, comfortable and confident,” she says with a laugh. Her wardrobe celebrates joy, movement, and individuality. “I’m inspired by the fearless weirdness of SNL’s Sarah Sherman, the constant evolution of Lady Gaga, and the creativity of drag queens,” she says. “I love the effortless, comfortable, preppy vibe of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, and the quirky femininity of New Girl’s Jessica Day.”

Her style is playful yet purposeful, fusing color and comfort with effortless confidence. “Confidence doesn’t come from perfection,” says Jesse. “It comes from owning exactly who you are.”

Challenging beauty standards

Jesse Coulter-Price’s platform is more than just fashion; it’s a movement wrapped in style and storytelling. “I use my platform to normalize existing in a larger body, not as a before photo or a transformation story, but as a complete, joyful, and worthy human being,” she explains.

Through her photos and captions, she challenges outdated ideas about what plus size fashion should be. “I express myself as I am,” says Jesse. “She stretches out her soft arms, reveals her stomach, and makes an unabashed presence.”

And she doesn’t shy away from pointing out the industry’s shortcomings. “What I wish more brands understood is that excluding plus-size consumers is a choice, not a restriction,” she says. “There’s no reason inclusive sizing can’t be the norm, especially when 67% of women are a size 14 or above. We hike, we move, we sweat, and we have the right to wear clothes that empower us while we do those activities.”

Tips to help her feel confident

When it comes to styling, Jessie keeps it real. “Bike shorts are your best friend,” she insists. “I wear this under dresses, long shirts, overalls, to the gym, everywhere in my life. Once you start wearing this, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it.”

Her go-to styling credo is simple yet powerful. “Is there something you’ve always wanted to wear but never thought you could?” she asks. “I always ask that, and my answer is always, do you really think that? Or has society made you believe that? Because you can achieve anything you want.”

What’s her biggest style complaint? “When boring trends take hold, suddenly everyone looks the same,” she says. “Fashion should be about expression, not assimilation.”

brands that empower

Jesse lights up when we talk about the brands that support it. “When I wear LALA, I feel unstoppable,” she says. “Bold colors, playful designs, and oversized fits that actually fit plus-size bodies make dressing fun and empowering.”

She also appreciates the versatility of ASOS and loves Nike and Girlfriend Collective for championing inclusivity and sustainability in activewear. “Feeling strong, noticed, and comfortable in my clothes makes me feel unstoppable, and these brands allow me to do that.”

Looking to the future, she announces more collaborations. “We would love to partner with Pacifica Beauty, TrueGear, Alpine Swimwear, and other gear brands that make plus-size apparel and equipment,” she says.

Redefining influence

For Jesse, influence isn’t about the number of followers, it’s about connections. “I define influence as the ability to inspire people to feel seen and understood, and to be more authentic to themselves,” she says. “It’s not about numbers or perfection. It’s about connections.”

Her content may be rooted in style, but its impact is emotional and cultural. “The real impact happens when someone sees your content and thinks, ‘If she can express herself, maybe I can too.'”

message to her followers

Jesse’s message to the community is heartfelt and clear. “I hope people leave my page feeling seen, inspired, and a little lighter,” she says. “I want them to know that it’s okay to take up space and be okay with existing as they are…soft, strong, messy, and growing, and that they’re not the only ones figuring it all out.”

Her ultimate goal is simple but fundamental: to help people believe they are enough. “You don’t have to change to become a person of value,” says Jesse. “You already are.”
