At some point in the summer, I was totally obsessed with getting the best night’s sleep. It started casually – I just needed a new mattress. The one I developed a permanent dip in the middle leaves me with back pain every day. I thought a simple trip to the mattress store would solve the problem, but what started out as a simple purchase soon turned into a full-fledged rabbit hole and all sleep. Suddenly, it was all I could think about for weeks.
Investing in a new mattress opened the floodgates. From there, I couldn’t stop thinking about pillows, pajamas, and even the scent of my bedroom. Before I knew it, I was in a complete research mode of reading reviews, looking at Tiktok, asking friends for recommendations, and testing the product in both the showroom and at home. What appears to be a simple errand has been transformed into a complete project. This is everything I found and what I actually love.
bedding
If you’ve never heard of it Hestensa Swedish brand known for its mattress, and costs over $400,000. (No, that’s not a typo.) I’d like to test it someday, but I’ve focused on more realistic options. After visiting a handful of NYC showrooms, saatva rx This is my dream mattress. I was reading it too Helix Midnight Elite Because of back pain, it became a strong candidate.
The natural progression after the mattress was pillows. I love it Parachute soft down pillow For its gorgeous atmosphere, or Avocado Grand Lux For a stronger alternative. For duvet inserts, Ostermoor was an immediate favorite. I prefer cloud-like bedding and it gets cold easily, but my boyfriend is against it. a lot. I’m also a fan of Buffy’s Cloud Quilt.
Sheets and duvet covers are our own business. (I personally like Persale and Linen.) Including some outstanding I’ve tried or bookmarked Studio Satram, Bellingo Fine LinenMorrow Soft Goods, Bed Thread, Sheet Society, CitizensHawkins New York, TecraThuma, parachuteand Brook Linen. My new favorite addition is Bed blanket Or a coverlet. This makes the bed feel more padded.

pajamas
I’ve been building pajama drawers. But I usually get drawn to nightgowns. Still, the Eberjay Gisele Tencel modal short sleeve PJ set won me with how soft it was. Some nights I like sleeping in my sma bathrobe, like I’m in a hotel…

Eye mask
I thought I didn’t need an eye mask, but I’m converted. Brook Linen The Mulberry Silk Eye Mask is my current go-to, and the slip contour sleep mask is highly recommended.
Sound Machine
I don’t like messy nightstands, but the hatch checks two boxes: the sound machine and the alarm clock are one.
supplement
Magnesium is one of the most popular sleep supplements and for me it actually works. In autumn and winter, I like to add mint tea to my bedtime routine along with honey.
Room spray
When my sheets have a room spray spritz in my bed, it feels comfortable. I like the amber notes for warmth, but the lavender is always classic too.
Wearable
Sleep tracking has grown over the past few years and is finally on board. As a bonus, if you’re cycling, wellring pairs directly with a natural cycling contraceptive app, allowing you to track both in one place.
