NYC NEWNESS – Atlantic-Pacific

I was in New York last week for a little work and a little fun. I checked out some new or new spots from me and I thought I would share! Don’t worry, I still visited my favourite old haunts like Hillstone on Park Avenue (basically, I don’t mind) and Superfin’s late-night drinks (which I resort to when I lived in Dumbo). Well, new…

Hotel Chelsea // Visiting NYC tends to stay in hotels. It’s a great way to explore different parts of the city. When I lived here, I was based in West Village for just over five years, then headed to nearly three in Dumbo, Brooklyn. This stay, I tried a new renovated one Hotel Chelsea. It has a very cool and moody NYC vibe and a really interesting history (you can read about it) here). They are amazing Lobby Bar Three very different (and great) dining options. I ate Cafe Chelsea And I love it and have heard something wonderful El Quixote And very new Teruk. The hotel is very central so it was easy to get around town. i will be back!

printemps There was a lot of talk about the opening in // printemps. I was very sad to miss the opening party, but I was excited to stop by and see it for myself in the end. I had heard there could be a route to go, so I decided to visit immediately when they opened on Monday. It wasn’t too crowded and I was able to explore all the spaces without any problems. I didn’t have time to eat or stop for coffee or foam, but that’s on my next list! The interior really blew me away.

Flick //Historical reopening Flick Collection There are great expectations. Certainly, when I decided to stop by on a Sunday, I certainly felt it. The flick is one of my favourite museums in the city and although this time I was not disappointed, the crowds were a little more difficult to enjoy. You’ll need to plan ahead and buy a timeting ticket, or take the chance and wait in line for more than an hour! Once inside, prepare for a thick crowd. Honestly, if I can do it again, I will visit when the expectations of a reopening fade in autumn and summer tourists are gone! Overall, the museum remains one of my favourites.

Le Compagnie // There are front posts in London, Paris and Soho – the trio behind Le Company decides to open another location Flatien With the same spirit. I love a great wine bar and this makes me feel comfortable, but not crowded with funny pours and great little bites. I stopped here for a glass of wine and snacks before heading out for dinner one night and highly recommended.

Soho Shopping //To be honest, I don’t always like shopping while traveling. Often I feel that shopping is a huge part of my job. That being said, I’ve never been to and felt there were too many new store openings I needed to see. I headed to Soho and my first stop was Tory Burch. When I worked there, the store was actually under Wailey of concept and renovation and after many delays it finally opened in the fall of 2021 (I was told I was late). shop It felt like Old Tory would be discovering a new Tory in the best way. I love the decorations and ended up buying this dress. I also jumped into something new Dry the Van Noten. The space felt like a cool mashup of art that encountered fashion. I would like the store to inject a bit more of an interesting texture performance and quirky color combo that the brand is known for, but the more neutral backgrounds were able to make sure to pop the collection. I was on the block so I checked out too. kitehonestly, it’s not always my tea. The store’s concept was very clean and based on something brutal. It felt exclusive, as predicted.
