It’s a big colour in summer, a winter layer, a girl who is always showing up and showing, even if she has low funds and wins two trains. NYC Dream Girls The photo shoot is as follows: To celebrate the cultures created by women of color at fashion capital around the world.

Conceptualized and creatively supervised by longtime plus-size bloggers, influencers and advocates of physical positivity Gabriella Lascanothe filming brings together a cast of native New York villains who live and breathe the flavor of the city. As a model for this shoot, Curvy fashionistasI think how resilient and resourceful this shoot was, and Runway Energy Plus size women in all five districts.

Gabriella Lascano, a pioneer in the plus-size fashion community, has long championed physical positivity and inclusivity. With over 400,000 followers on Instagram, she uses her platform to advocate for fashion self-love and representation. Participating in filming for NYC Dreamgirls was more than just a modeling opportunity, and it praised the culture, confidence and community. The shoot captured the meaning of being plus size in New York: bold, beautiful and apocalypically stylish.

Through Gabriella’s direction, the filming highlights the diversity and dynamism of urban fashion landscapes, reinforcing that black and brown women are not part of the story.

More than just taking a photo, NYC Dream Girls It was a statement: We are culture. We were culture. From Harlem to Queens, the Bronx and Brooklyn, plus-size women made fashion our playground even when the industry tried to rule us out. I flipped my closet over, snatched a bargain, and turned the sidewalk into a catwalk. We do more and look better every time.

As a plus size girl born and raised in New York, the shoot felt like home. It captured the heartbeat of a city built by women who mix in ingenuity and personality, grit and glam. And in true native New York fashion, we did it in style.
