As the end of the year approaches, I also go into reset mode. Clean out your closets, organize your home, get rid of worn-out and outdated items, and reset your habits. I always try to use the end of the year as a refresher to make the start of the new year a little easier. Below are some of the things I’ve been up to lately.
drawer of my unmentionables // Lately, I’ve been opening my underwear drawer and avoiding what’s inside. Socks that don’t fit, underwear that doesn’t fit well, bras that don’t fit. I finally decided to thoroughly examine and discard all the pieces I had been avoiding. I ended up buying dozens of bras and replacing almost all of them. these bras i love. The same goes for socks. Tossed a large amount and ordered more these I think they are the perfect ankle socks. It’s so much fun to open the drawer and grab what’s on top because I know it’s a snug fit and comfortable.
Schedule a 15-minute walk outdoors // Some days I’m tied to my desk. I’ve noticed that going outside during the day (even for 15-20 minutes) completely changes my mood. Now I schedule a 15-minute standing calendar meeting to go outside and take a quick walk around the neighborhood. Nothing beats a little vitamin D.
automatic replenishment // I don’t know why I didn’t do this sooner. Finally, I purchased all the household items I use regularly. this shampoo, this conditioner, this soaplaundry detergent, etc. This saves you the trouble of remembering to order when you run out.
new alarm clock // In 2026, I’m going to shut down screen time about an hour before bed and try not to sleep with my phone next to me (try is the key word). My main alarm clock is my cell phone, so I had to buy one. After a bit of research, what I came up with is This one After a week, I’ll give it a 10/10 rating.
1 bag disposed of per week in Q1 // Starting next week, I’m going to get rid of one bag of stuff from my house a week. It can be anything from clothes you no longer wear, to platters you never use, to small items lying around in your junk drawer. I’m also looking to buy more items that specialize in organization and storage so that I can organize my clutter even more. The first thing I mentioned was this box For all my Christmas decorations!
