A crowd of people are lining up outside the store 92nd street Fashion lovers were hoping for something special from Law Roach, and he didn’t disappoint.

Maris, who is also the host of 92ndStreety, warmly welcomed Law Roach to her Fashion Icons series, and attendees gave her a standing ovation.

Wearing a red Gucci GG jacquard set and black Mugler boots, Lo confidently took to the stage to promote her latest book in full force.

In contrast to the bright hues, Maris opted for a classic approach layered with a white button-down shirt, black pants, and a statement necklace.

It was raw and transparent, with the host getting straight into Law’s early life, and the Chicago native didn’t shy away from sharing some of his most personal moments.

When you look at Law Roach, you often see well-dressed stylists with Hollywood-esque mannerisms. However, his childhood was neither glamorous nor a walk in the park. He remembers his mother leaving him when he was a shy 14-year-old and saying, “You know what?I can’t eat if I don’t work”

“When you get to a certain age and your mom says something like that, it just lights a fire in you,” Law Roach said. “So, I started working. When I came to L.A., it was a double-edged sword, because it required me to work very hard, but at the same time take every opportunity, It also made me look at it as if it were my last.“

Even though Law Roach endured some trials and tribulations in his childhood, he did not let it deter him. He used fashion as a means of escapism, often going out to junk (thrift) with his grandmother. “This book is about how to make yourself an icon in whatever you do.” Representing Law Roach”Clothing and fashion are just a way to express your confidence. ”

Along with endless tips and tricks for succeeding in the fashion industry, Law Roach also talked about meeting Kanye West at his store in Chicago in 2009.

“After Kanye shopped at my store, media coverage began and stylists from all over the world started calling me. That’s when I realized that styling was a very viable career, which gave me a lot of hope.“

Since first meeting Kanye West in 2009, Law Roach’s career has skyrocketed. He currently works with big stars including Zendaya, Celine Dion, Megan Thee Stallion, and many other notable celebrities. In fact, his great work with Zendaya helped change the trajectory of his career.

Law Roach recalls:

“Zendaya will never forget the first time she walked into a store, it was something to her. When you meet someone, you know they have something special? Right away She was 13 to 14 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, beautiful, and it was love at first sight.“
